PDP HAILS FCT MINISTER OVER SUCCESSFUL HOSTING OF PRESIDENT TINUBU AND RAINBOW COALITION IN RIVERS STATE
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) commends the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, for the successful hosting of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of the Rainbow Coalition at today’s historic political gathering in Rivers State.
The occasion, first of its kind in the country’s political history, has once again highlighted the Minister’s political and organisational sagacity, experience in strategic engagement, and ability to mobilise people across political divides.
The impressive turnout at the event is evidence of his ability to translate commitments into action. It also provides an opportunity to address criticisms questioning his political relevance, influence and capacity.
For those who have continued to question his political relevance and influence, the event provides a clear opportunity to reconsider such assumptions. It demonstrates that political leadership is not measured by noise or criticism but by the ability to organise, engage and deliver.
As a party, the PDP recognises his contributions and remains committed to standing by him. We believe that political differences should not overshadow the importance of loyalty, mutual respect, constructive engagement and the collective interest of the nation.
The PDP further recognise the Minister’s contributions to the party and wish to reaffirm that his political relevance and place within the party remain matters of immense and immeasurable importance.
We congratulate the FCT Minister on this successful outing. Indeed, the remarkable success of the gathering speaks for itself and serves as a fitting response to his critics, detractors and naysayers.

PRESS RELEASE

COURT OF APPEAL REAFFIRMS PDP LEADERSHIP, UPHOLDS DISMISSAL OF PURPORTED BoT’S SUIT.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) welcomes the unanimous judgment of the Court of Appeal today, affirming the earlier judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which dismissed the suit instituted by the purported Board of Trustees (BoT) led by Senator Adolphus Wabara, alongside Professor Jerry Gana, Babangida Muazu Aliyu, Maryam Inna Ciroma and others Operating under the ILLEGAL Interim National Working Committee headed Kabiru Tanimu Turaki SAN.
In a clear, unanimous , unambiguous affirmation of the decision of the lower court, the Court of Appeal upheld the dismissal of the Appeal and further awarded additional costs against the appellants.
This judgment is a major victory for the PDP, the rule of law and the supremacy of the party’s Constitution. It has further strengthened and affirmed the legitimacy and leadership of the National Working Committee of the PDP headed by Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed, National Chairman, and Senator Samuel N. Anyanwu, National Secretary, as the authentic leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The unanimous decision of the Court of Appeal should put to rest any perceived lingering doubts regarding the legitimacy of the party’s recognised leadership and serve as a clear message that the affairs of the PDP must be conducted in accordance with its Constitution, established procedures and the rule of law.
The party calls on all its members, leaders and stakeholders to respect the judicial pronouncement, close ranks and channel their energies towards rebuilding the party, strengthening internal cohesion and preparing for the political tasks ahead.
At this critical moment, the PDP must rise above unnecessary distractions, factional interests and divisive tendencies. Our collective responsibility is to protect the party, restore its unity and reposition it as a credible alternative for Nigerians.
Today’s judgment is not merely a legal victory; it is a victory for constitutional order, legitimate leadership and the unity of our great party.
The PDP is moving forward, stronger and more united.
Congratulations!!!
