In every state Peter Obi won in 2023, the Inspector-General of Police has quietly replaced the Commissioners of Police with officers allegedly loyal to the APC or willing to mobilise thugs in police uniform.
This is not routine redeployment. This is preparation to rig the upcoming election.
The pattern raises serious concerns about the neutrality of the Nigerian Police Force ahead of 2027. Nigerians must not allow security agencies to become instruments of political intimidation, electoral manipulation or suppression of the people's mandate.
We put the world on notice: if violence erupts at polling units in 2027, those responsible, including any security officials who facilitate or tolerate it, must be held accountable.
The police exist to protect citizens, not politicians. Their duty is to safeguard lives, maintain law and order, and ensure every Nigerian can vote freely without fear or intimidation.
We will not surrender our democracy to political desperation. We will not allow anyone to steal the people's mandate.
The people are watching. The world is watching. 2027 will not be business as usual. Nigeria belongs to all of us, not one political party.
