Seems like as good of a time as any to remind people that "Heritage American" is a bullshit, made-up term and that a person made a citizen yesterday is every bit as much of a citizen and an American as I am, or my wife's family (which stretches back at least into the 1600s).

As AI evolves it becomes increasingly difficult for voters to differentiate between real & fake images or videos. My HB 366 would have required campaign political ads & anyone being compensated to work on their behalf to include a disclaimer stating "AI generated", "images did not occur in reality", etc. This issue must be resolved soon for election integrity & the voters. #txlege

The voting for our Ranked Choice Voting Experiment is going to be open for the next week, hoping to get a large sample size.
But the interest in this is already exceeding our expectations. Hundreds of you have already voted, and it's only been a few hours.
Here's the ballot. Rank your candidates, 1-6.

One big US soccer thought: our youth development has to get more affordable. One of my kids plays travel. It’s at least $5k a year & this isn’t even super high end. We can afford it, thankfully, lots can’t. Youth sports costs in the US are out of control, soccer more than most.

Balogun is a Nigerian who grew up in London and was born in the United States because some flight attendants decided his mother was too pregnant to fly. He was given the opportunity to represent Nigeria, England, or the United States.
he CHOSE us. and THAT is the most American thing. we’re all immigrants born here, choosing our country with pride every day.
Balogun is a Nigerian who grew up in London. I'm glad his suspension got revoked, but I'm not going to pretend he's American. The Globalism World Cup.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Folarin Balogun was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is a U.S. citizen by birth. Although he moved to London as an infant and was raised there, his birthright citizenship is what makes him eligible to represent the USMNT. ussoccer.com/players/b/fola… bbc.com/sport/football…

There are people in charge of college sports who don't want things like Cape Verde to happen.

1) We might not like how California administers its elections (and I don't). But that doesn't make it fraud. That doesn't make it cheating. It doesn't make it unlawful.
2) That being said, this post-election outrage was entirely foreseeable, but Governor Newsom and the state legislature (assembly) did nothing to improve the situation.
3) They sit by while election officials take the hit. Election officials get dragged online. Election officials get investigated. But it was the state that chose this system.
4) This does not bode well for November.
5) If you have questions about why it takes so long, I recommend this article: calmatters.org/politics/2026…
6) If you have additional questions, I can try to help.

If you'd told me, ex-ante, that Tina Peters got 4.5 years, I would have said, "OK. I don't know much about sentencing in Colorado, but seems fine."
But @jaredpolis 's defensive commentary about how Peters's crime had "zero to do with the Presidential election" is asinine.
Yes, the criminal act was for test during 2021.
But what the heck do you think motivated it? And why the interest in tabulation equipment? And what do you think she and her merry band were trying to achieve?
Of course the conspiracies regarding tabulation equipment used in the 2020 presidential election motivated the unlawful act. And of course their goal was to cast doubt on the 2020 election.
To say otherwise is obtuse beyond measure.

Bipartisan blowback for Gov. Polis after granting clemency to 2020 election denier Tina Peters:
Colorado AG Phil Weiser (D): "Mind-boggling and wrong as a matter of basic justice."
Colorado SOS Jena Griswold (D): "An affront to democracy, the people of Colorado, and election officials across the country."
Mesa County DA Dan Rubinstein, who prosecuted Peters (R): A "misguided and misunderstood" decision that "undermined accountability and eroded confidence in the integrity of the system."
Matt Crane (R), for the Colorado election clerks association: “furious, disgusted and deeply disappointed" by the "reckless and dangerous message" this sends.

Ukrainian President Zelensky has issued an official decree allowing Russia to hold its Victory Day parade.
The decree sets out a cease-fire zone covering Red Square in Moscow.
Yesterday, voters in Berwyn Heights, MD said YES to exploring ranked choice voting for Town Council elections – with 76% in favor!
It’s a strong message from voters that they support improving their elections.
Congratulations to @rcvformaryland for their hard work!
