#WATCH | Odisha: Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) for the Southern Division in Brahmapur, Vijay Amruta Kulange, says, "The impact of Cyclone Arnab has been most significant in the Gajapati and Ganjam districts of the Southern Division... In some of the areas, there is waterlogging, and water has also accumulated in some agricultural fields. Furthermore, local drains and the Rushikulya River are currently flowing at high levels. However, following directives from the government and the district administration—and with the dedicated efforts of all administrative personnel—people living in vulnerable areas have already been evacuated and relocated to safe shelters. According to current reports, there have been no casualties. Additionally, livestock—including cattle and other animals—have been moved to safe locations. At the shelters where the evacuated individuals are being housed, provisions for drinking water, food, and medical supplies have been made available. Our teams remain on high alert..."

#WATCH | Odisha: Heavy rainfall triggered by Cyclone Arnab has caused a major landslide on the Gajapati-Ganjam border at Taptapani Ghat near Mohana. Large volumes of soil and massive boulders have slid down from the hills and piled up on the roadway, while flowing water continues to obstruct movement. Vehicular traffic has come to a complete halt.
An ambulance carrying a patient from Mohana towards Brahmapur was forced to turn back after the crew spotted the ongoing landslide and debris on the road.
Separately, National Highway 326, a vital link connecting Brahmapur to southern Odisha, has suffered severe damage near Ledbandh in Mohana under Gajapati district. Sections of the highway have been washed away, fully disrupting traffic. Commuters were seen returning after finding the route impassable.
