BCPS Joins the Nation in Celebrating America250
This Independence Day, Broward County Public Schools joins communities across the country in recognizing America250 and the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.
The America250 flag is now displayed at the Kathleen C. Wright Administration Center. Through a U.S. Department of Education grant in partnership with the Broward Education Foundation, flags have also been purchased for each BCPS school and will be distributed as part of the District’s America250 recognition.
As we celebrate the Fourth of July, we honor our shared history and look ahead to the future our students will help shape.

Thanks @CityLauderhill for recommending me to speak at “Reading is Fun in Lauderhill.” A packed house as speakers highlighted literacy’s importance. After I spoke, a retired @browardschools educator volunteered to tutor for free @Larkdale_Larks—she’s started! #Blessed #AFewVillages
