The UK must act to assure their safety.

Reports have already emerged of explosions, unidentified objects being dropped near the vessels, drones circling overhead, and communications being jammed. These are deeply concerning developments. We know from past experience that when Israel smears peace activists with unfounded claims of links to Hamas, it is often a precursor to violent attacks. I’m so sorry that the world has failed the children of Gaza. I am so deeply sorry.
I will do everything I can to help my friend Renad achieve her dream of owning a restaurant one day. I pray for the day when I can walk in as her customer and eat her delicious food. And I pray for the day when this atrocity becomes a memory for her, not her reality.

The #Madleen now sails just 165 nautical miles from #Gaza, a vessel of courage navigating hostile waters. As they draw nearer, we carry a revolutionary hope in our hearts that they will reach Gaza, undeterred by threats from the Israeli military to block their passage.
From both a legal and moral standpoint, Israel has no right to intercept this vessel. The people of Gaza, under siege, starving, and facing the threat of annihilation, have the legal right to decide who enters their territories. Each participant aboard 'Madleen' stands not only for themselves, but for millions around the world demanding that a people's humanitarian sea corridor to Gaza be opened.
As they draw closer, we will hear their voices of resistance, solidarity, and unshakable resolve. We are with them, every wave, every mile, every moment, until we reach Gaza and justice breaks through the blockade.

The Madleen’s Gaza Freedom Flotilla is an important solidarity initiative that will help to keep the spotlight on Israel’s illegal and suffocating blockade of the occupied Gaza Strip amidst its ongoing genocide. The Gaza Freedom Flotilla must be allowed to carry out its peaceful mission safely free from intimidation or attack.
There can be no justification for blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza amidst catastrophic levels of hunger and suffering and one of the worst manmade humanitarian disasters in the world.
Israeli authorities must immediately lift their unlawful blockade on Gaza, allow and resume the unhindered flow of humanitarian assistance and lifesaving supplies, and #StopTheGenocide.

It is outrageous and morally reprehensible that it took the world nearly 80 days of broadcast starvation and cruelty amidst genocide to exert enough pressure on Israel to even slightly ease its total siege that has blocked the entry of all food, medicine, fuel and other vital goods since 2 March.

Let this be known by everyone:
When Palestinians in Gaza share the numbers of those Israel murder every day, these are not numbers issued only by Gaza-run ministry of health or whatever you call it.
These numbers are issued by families who lost their loved ones.
Palestinians in Gaza are reporting on their own losses. They don’t need even a ministry or the ICRC or whatever to issue lists of murdered people.
If you go and read Palestinians’ social media posts, you will find a memorial, one that is building up every hour.
