Some things we’ve learned in court about Galloway’s accuser & UBC: 1. UBC profs gave her a degree w/o a thesis 2. UBC gave her $30k in bursary funds after her “graduation” 3. AB demanded $3 million from UBC (public has no idea if any settlement was given) 4. She claimed a man vying for a UBC job assaulted her, then UBC profs tanked his interview scores so he wouldn’t get the job 5. She claimed UBC “head of security” told her Galloway was a “serial predator”; the man in question was not head of security and says he has no recollection of ever saying that 6. She told UBC staff that a CBC legal team vetted her allegations, found them “damning” and wanted to feature her story in a documentary; UBC profs shared this info at a faculty meeting as though it were true; the CBC journalist AB spoke to denied all of it

Yesterday: “Put simply, A.B. plans to argue that she couldn’t have known what her unproven allegations — which came during the growing MeToo movement — would do to Galloway’s life and reputation, nor did she, she says, authorize others to spread defamatory statements around the globe.”
