5 years ago, the Twitter team asked me to use this platform to discuss my commitment to a just transition. Twitter staff are now asked to choose: be sacked or accept an “extreme hardcore” culture. At this level of inconsistency, I personally stop using the platform as of now.

What I’m following at #cop27: @EmmanuelFaber’s advocacy for international climate disclosures. Two big wins for @IFRSFoundation in Egypt: a government (Nigeria) and major provider to the private sector (@CDP) are implementing these standards, helping making them mainstream.
Good news at COP27 today:
Nigeria declared its decision to adopt ISSB standards, to unlock capital markets investments in support of resilient development. The most populated country and biggest economy in Africa is a first mover. Humbled by the leadership of Africa.

Delighted to see this collaboration between @CDP and @IFRSFoundation to scale adoption of the ISSB climate standard, which will in turn drive faster regulatory adoption. @FSB_TCFD @EmmanuelFaber @WMBtweets
CDP is delighted to announce that we will incorporate the ISSB climate standard into our global environmental disclosure system. With 18,700 companies disclosing through CDP, this means the standard can be rapidly implemented across the global economy: ow.ly/A1U850LxcxT
The news at COP27: CDP will incorporate the ISSB Climate-related Disclosures Standard. The result: 18,700 companies (half of global market capitalisation), who already disclose through CDP will start using our Climate standard in 2024. Thank you for the trust.

During our board week in Montreal, the #ISSB confirmed in a final and unanimous vote to require disclosure of scope 3 GHG emissions as part of our redeliberations finalizing the climate standard for global capital markets. Rewriting economics.
