#SayNoToBettingApps movement sees success as Centre decides to ban online betting apps
The Central Government’s decision to ban online betting, which has been destroying countless young lives, is a highly welcome and historic step. This move will not only save many lives but also protect the very social fabric of our society from the dangerous consequences of gambling addiction.
For the past several months, I have been relentlessly raising my voice against betting apps and their harmful impact on the youth. It is a matter of pride that a movement — #SayNoToBettingApps — was launched, involving millions of concerned citizens from across India and even abroad, who came together for this cause.
This collective fight has finally borne fruit. The decision will greatly benefit India’s youth, enabling them to focus on building a golden future through education, career, and creativity rather than falling into the trap of psychological and financial enslavement. It is also a major step towards leading society in a healthier and more progressive direction.

తమ పరువు పోతుందనే భావనతో సైబర్ నేరాల బాధితులు ఫిర్యాదు చేయడానికి ముందుకురావడం లేదు. బాధితుల మౌనాన్ని మోసగాళ్లు ఆసరాగా తీసుకుంటున్నారు. ఆ ధైర్యంతోనే విచ్చలవిడిగా నేరాలకు పాల్పడుతున్నారు.
ధైర్యంగా పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేస్తేనే.. సైబర్ మోసగాళ్ల అడ్డుకట్ట వేయొచ్చు. మరికొందరు బాధితులుగా మారకుండా చూడొచ్చనే విషయాన్ని గుర్తుంచుకోవాలి.
సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లను గుర్తించి డబ్బును తిరిగి రాబట్టడానికి గోల్డెన్ అవర్ అనేది చాలా ముఖ్యం. అంటే మోసపోయిన వెంటనే ఫిర్యాదు చేయాలి. ఆలస్యం చేస్తే ఫలితం ఉండకపోవచ్చు.

పుట్ట గొడుగుల్లా పుట్టుకొస్తున్న మోసపూరిత మల్టీ లెవల్ మార్కెటింగ్ సంస్థలకు చెక్ పెట్టాలంటే.. బాధితులందరూ ముందుకువచ్చి స్థానిక పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లలో ఫిర్యాదు చేయాలి. లేకుంటే ఈ గొలుసు కట్టు సంస్థల మాయలో పడి అందరూ ఏదో ఒక రోజు బాధితులవుతారు. మోసపూరిత #MLM సంస్థల్లో చేర్పించిన వారితో పాటు చేరిన వారు చట్టప్రకారం బాధ్యులే. అధిక డబ్బుకి ఆశపడి #MLM సంస్థల వలలో చిక్కుకోకండి. జీవితాలను నాశనం చేసుకోకండి.

క్రికెట్‌ అభిమానులకు హెచ్చరిక!! హైదరాబాద్‌ ఉప్పల్‌ క్రికెట్‌ స్టేడియంలో శుక్రవారం సన్‌ రైజర్స్‌ హైదరాబాద్‌ వర్సెస్‌ చెన్నై సూపర్‌ కింగ్స్‌ #IPL మ్యాచ్‌కు విపరీతమైన డిమాండ్‌ నేపథ్యంలో సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు కొత్త మోసానికి తెరలేపారు. టికెట్లు అందుబాటులో ఉన్నాయంటూ ఇన్‌స్టా రీల్స్‌, స్టోరీలు, యూట్యూబ్‌ షార్ట్స్‌ లో ఇలా ఇబ్బడిముబ్బడిగా ఫేక్‌ లింక్‌లను పోస్టు చేస్తున్నారు. ఎలాగైన స్టేడియంలో మ్యాచ్‌ను ప్రత్యక్షంగా వీక్షించాలనుకునే అభిమానులను టార్గెట్‌ చేస్తూ.. లక్షల్లో దండుకుంటున్నారు. క్యూఆర్ కోడ్స్ పంపించి డబ్బులు గుంజుతున్నారు. ఇలాంటి పోస్టుల పట్ల క్రికెట్‌ అభిమానులు అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలి. ఈ లింక్‌లపై అసలే క్లిక్‌ చేయొద్దు. క్లిక్‌ చేసి వివరాలు నమోదు చేస్తే మీ బ్యాంకు ఖాతాల్లోని నగదు గుల్లవుతుంది.. జాగ్రత్త!

ప్రైవేట్‌ బ్యాంకుల ఖాతాదారులకు అలెర్ట్‌!! డ్రగ్ పార్శిళ్ల పేరుతో నకిలీ పోలీసులు ప్రైవేట్‌ బ్యాంకుల ఖాతాదారులనే ఎక్కువగా టార్గెట్‌ చేస్తున్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, RBL Bank, IndusInd Bank, RBL Bank, IDFC First Bank, AU Small Finance Bank తో పాటు Punjab National Bank బ్యాంకుల ఖాతాదారులకు ఫోన్లు చేసి కోట్లలో కుచ్చుటోపీ పెడుతున్నారు. సోషల్ మీడియా సాయంతో బ్యాంక్‌ ఏజెంట్లను నియమించుకుని.. బ్యాంకు ఖాతాల్లో ఎక్కువగా డబ్బున్న వారికి ఫోన్ కాల్స్ చేస్తూ బెదిరింపులకు దిగుతున్నారు. అక్రమ లావాదేవీలు చేస్తూ ఇండియన్‌ బ్యాంక్‌ ఖాతాలను దుర్వినియోగం చేస్తున్నారు. కావున ప్రైవేట్‌ బ్యాంకుల ఖాతాదారులు సైబర్ నేరగాళ్ల వలలో చిక్కుకోకుండా అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలి.
భారీ మొత్తంలో నగదు బదిలీకి బ్యాంకు కరెంట్‌ ఖాతాలను ఉపయోగించుకోవాలి. అవసరమైతేనే ఒక్కటి రెండు సార్లు ధృవీకరించుకున్నాకే కార్పొరేట్‌ లాగిన్‌ లు తెరవాలి. కార్పొరేట్‌ లాగిన్‌ల సాయంతో పెద్ద మొత్తంలో సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు నగదు బదిలీ చేసే అవకాశముంది.. జాగ్రత్త! విదేశాల నుండి ఇండియా బ్యాంక్‌ ఖాతాలకు ఇంటర్‌ నెట్‌ బ్యాంకింగ్‌ సదుపాయాన్ని పూర్తిగా నిషేధించాలి. ముఖ్యంగా చైనా, హాంకాంగ్‌, తైవాన్‌, థాయిలాండ్‌, కంబోడియా దేశాల ఐపీ అడ్రస్‌లను బ్లాక్‌ చేయాలి.
డ్రగ్ పార్శిళ్ల పేరుతో మోసాలు ఎక్కువగా దుబాయ్‌ కేంద్రంగా పనిచేస్తోన్న కాల్‌ సెంటర్ల నుంచి జరుగుతున్నాయి. టెలిగ్రామ్‌ ద్వారా భారతీయులను రిక్రూట్‌ చేసుకుని.. వారి సాయంతో సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు మోసాలకు తెగబడుతున్నారు. తైవాన్‌, థాయిలాండ్‌, కంబోడియా దేశాల నుంచి డ్రగ్ పార్శిల్‌ ఫ్రాడ్స్‌ జరుగున్నాయి. డ్రగ్ పార్శిళ్ల పేరుతో ప్రపంచంలో జరుగుతున్న మొత్తం మోసాల్లో 90 శాతం భారతదేశంలోనే సంభవిస్తుండం గమనార్హం.
ఈ మోసాలకు చెక్ పెట్టాలంటే స్వీయ అవగాహన కలిగిఉండటం ఒక్కటే మార్గం. అజ్ఞాత వ్యక్తులు ఫోన్ కాల్స్ చేస్తే అసలే స్పందించవద్దు. పోలీసులమని అని చెప్పగానే భయపడి పోయి వారు చెప్పినట్లు చెయొద్దు. నగదును ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ బదిలీ చెయొద్దు. ఒకవేళ మోసానికి గురైతే ఏమాత్రం ఆలస్యం చేయకుండా వెంటనే 1930కి కాల్‌ చేసి ఫిర్యాదు చేయండి.

''హాలో.. మేం ముంబై క్రైం బ్రాంచీ నుంచి మాట్లాడుతున్నాం. మీ పేరుతో FedEx లో ఒక పార్శిల్‌ బుక్‌ అయింది. అందులో నకిలీ పాస్‌పోర్టులు, డ్రగ్స్ ఉన్నాయి. అంతేకాదు, మీకు ఉగ్రవాద మాస్టర్‌ మైండ్‌ అయిన మహ్మద్‌తో పలు బ్యాంకుల్లో జాయింట్ అకౌంట్స్‌ ఉన్నాయి. మీరు తీవ్రమైన కేసులో ఇరుక్కున్నారు." అంటూ నకిలీ పోలీసుల పేరుతో సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు ఫోన్ కాల్స్ చేస్తూ భయభ్రాంతులకు గురిచేస్తున్నారు. పార్శిళ్లలో డ్రగ్స్, తీవ్రవాదులతో బ్యాంక్‌ లావాదేవీలు చేశారంటూ భయభ్రాంతులకు గురిచేస్తూ కోట్లలో కుచ్చుటోపీ పెడుతున్నారు. ఏమాత్రం అనుమానం రాకుండా అచ్చం పోలీసుల్లాగానే బిల్డప్‌ ఇస్తూ.. తమ ఐడీ కార్డులను, ఎఫ్‌ఐఆర్‌ కాపీలను పంపిస్తూ మోసాలకు తెగబడుతున్నారు.
తాజాగా ఐఐటీ హైదరాబాద్‌ పీహెచ్‌డీ స్కాలర్‌కి ఫోన్ కాల్‌ చేసి అక్షరాల రూ.30 లక్షలను దోచేశారు. తను ఉగ్రవాదులతో కలిసి జాయింట్ అకౌంట్‌ తీశారని, అందులో అనుమానస్పద లావాదేవీలు జరిగినట్లు గుర్తించామని చెప్పారు. తన లాప్‌ టాప్‌ను, ఫోన్‌ను ఉగ్రవాదులు హ్యాక్‌ చేశారని భయపెట్టారు. ఉగ్రవాద స్లీపర్‌ సెల్స్‌ తో తన కుటుంబానికి ప్రాణహానీ ఉందని, హౌజ్ అరెస్ట్ చేస్తున్నామంటూ చెప్పి 6 రోజుల పాటు ఇంట్లోంచి బయటకు రాకుండా చేశారు. ఈ కేసులతో తనకేం సంబంధం లేదని చెప్పిన వినకుండా భయభ్రాంతులకు గురిచేశారు. జాయింట్ అకౌంట్‌లో అనుమానస్పద లావాదేవీలున్నాయని, వాటిని పరిశీలించాలని మాయమాటలు చెప్పారు. తన కుటుంబ సభ్యులు పొదుపు చేసుకున్న రూ.31 లక్షలను తమ బ్యాంక్‌ ఖాతాల్లోకి బదిలీ చేయించుకున్నారు. లావాదేవీలు సక్రమంగా ఉంటే ఆ నగదును తిరిగి ఇచ్చేస్తామని నమ్మించారు. తర్వాత వారు స్పందించలేదు. చివరికి మోసపోయానని గుర్తించిన ఆ ఐఐటీ పీహెచ్‌డీ స్కాలర్‌.. సైబర్ క్రైం పోలీసులను ఆశ్రయించి ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు. నన్ను వ్యక్తిగతంగా కలిసి మోసపోయానని వాపోయారు.
ఇలాంటి నేరాలపై అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాల్సిన ఉన్నత విద్యావంతలే.. మోసాలకు గురవడం బాధాకరం. అజ్ఞాత వ్యక్తుల నుంచి డ్రగ్స్ పార్శిళ్ల పేరుతో ఫోన్ కాల్స్ కానీ, ఐవీఆర్ కాల్స్ వస్తే వాటికి అసలే స్పందించవద్దు. వారికి ఎలాంటి వ్యక్తిగత వివరాలు ఇవ్వొద్దు. డ్రగ్స్ కేసు అని, ఉగ్రవాదులతో సంబంధాలని బెదిరించగానే భయపడి డబ్బులు బదిలీ చేయొద్దు. మీరు ఒకవేళ మోసానికి గురైతే వెంటనే సైబర్ క్రైం హెల్ప్ లైన్ నంబర్ 1930 ఫోన్ చేయండి. లేదా స్థానిక పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌ను సంప్రదించి ఫిర్యాదు చేయండి.
