It’s time to wake up and stop being a loser. Get out of bed early. Lift heavy weights. Go for a run. Clean your apartment. Get a haircut. Dress like you actually go outside. Eat Whole Foods. Stop watching tik tok. Call your parents. Actually start pursuing your passions. Get a 2nd job if needed. Stop chasing people who don’t want you. Stop comparing yourself to guys on Instagram or Terra Chad’s. Stop blaming your height, genetics, the economy, or your childhood for everything. Figure out what you want out of life and go after it like a man possessed!! Be someone people can depend on. Keep your word. Show up on time. Be a good friend. Treat people well. Don’t be afraid to look stupid trying something new. It’s cool to care. It’s cool to work hard. It’s cool to want more for yourself. You’re going to fail. You’re going to get rejected. You’re going to have days where you feel like the biggest loser on earth. Who cares? Get up tomorrow and try again. Some guy with half your advantages is out there making it happen because he refuses to quit. Life is ridiculously short. You can spend it complaining about the cards you were dealt or actually play the hand. Nobody is coming to save you. Become the guy you would’ve looked up to at 15.

One of the strangest things about our culture is how much faith we've placed in elections to change our lives and how little faith we've placed in our own ability to do the same. People will spend months arguing about who should lead the country while spending zero time considering how they could better lead themselves. ...and THAT is a much bigger problem than most people realize. Because the strength of a country is ultimately a reflection of the character, discipline and standards of the people who make it up. That's you. Politics is downstream of culture. We can keep changing the people in charge, passing new laws and arguing over which party has the answers… ...but until we change the culture fostering, producing and tolerating the problems we have as a society nothing fundamentally changes. A population of weak, unhealthy, uninformed and dependent people is a hell of a lot easier to control than a population of strong, healthy, educated and self-reliant people. Your responsibility is to become the exact opposite of everything they want for you to the best of your abilities. Your REAL best. In my opinion that's our obligation as Americans. A culture of personal excellence is the foundation of a great country. There is no election, politician, policy or law that can substitute for that. .....and the best thing about that is the same behaviors that make you a better American also make your own life better quickly. If we want a better America… It starts with being better Americans. There is no other way. Personal Excellence is the Ultimate Rebellion.

The older I get, the more I realize that self-awareness is useless without action. You can understand all your fears and limiting beliefs, but if you keep making the same decisions, nothing changes. Use what you learn about yourself to make better decisions.

You wanted discipline, so you got distractions. You asked for strength so you got weight, asked for courage and faced with fear. Every answer to your problems is delivered looking like a problem. When you asked for the person you want to become, life slid the raw materials across the table and you looked at them and said "this isn't what I ordered." The hard thing isn't in your way. It is the way. It’s the person you keep saying you want to be, showing up the only way that person ever shows up, and it's asking one question: do you want it or not?

Heard a song called "He Won't" at church this morning, and it hit deep. I've spent most of my life around baseball, and one thing I know for certain... The storms are coming. Slumps. Injuries. Rejection. Disappointment. And those storms don't stop when your playing days end. Life brings its own. Faith was never a promise that life would be easy. It's the foundation that holds when everything around you shakes. You can't control the storm, but you can choose what you're built upon. The storms will come. But He won't fail. 🙏
