Tens of billions in tokenized assets are sitting idle.
A missing layer.
We wrote about what that layer looks like, and what we're building ↓

A hedge fund just became a $10 token.
CMCC Global tokenized two multi-manager funds (funding-rate arb, vol arb, market making) via Tether's Hadron and Bitfinex Securities. 1:1 with fund shares, 24/7 trading.
Assets on-chain was step one. Strategies are step two.

3/ Redemption got tighter. 2 business days, and the automatic 7-day extension is gone. If requests top 10% of a stablecoin's outstanding supply in 24h, the issuer notifies the OCC and can ask for more time. The $5M capital floor now applies past year three too.
4/ The quiet part: the Act still bars issuers from paying interest. But the OCC dropped its proposed presumption that deals with affiliates or third parties evade that ban. Now it's case by case, with enforcement against clear evasion.
The first GENIUS Act rule is final.
OCC, Oct 21: a licensing path for bank and non-bank stablecoin issuers, live Jan 18, 2027. Redemptions within 2 business days. And no blanket presumption against third-party reward deals.
The dollar becomes plumbing. Yield moves up a layer.
A product on Engine is a single token.
Behind it: the assets, the weights, the rules it follows. All borrowing liquidity from established pools.
Making all new products easy to move in and out of.
Good products don't sell themselves.
On Engine, whoever designs a strategy also distributes it. Launch it, share it with your audience, and anyone can hold it as a single token.
Build the product, bring the people, earn from it.
JPMorgan just put the cash leg on Ethereum.
JPM Coin (JPMD), its USD deposit token, is now open to institutional clients on Ethereum, next to its tokenized money funds MONY and JLTXX. Base was first.
Assets plus cash on one chain is step one. Building with them is step two.
"The product doesn't exist." That's Morgan Stanley on tokenized stocks.
Our week in RWA:
@MorganStanley delays to Q1 2027
@binance bStocks top $1B in AUM
@circle USYC is now #1 tokenized T-bill fund
@DWFLabs: $3.8B in tokenized equities
Also covered this week: @BlackRock and @Securitize (BUIDL), @chainalysis on who holds tokenized Treasuries, @tradable_xyz and @StellarOrg on tokenized asset-backed credit, and @pendle_fi stripping @OndoFinance's tokenized high-yield bond ETF.
Tokenized stocks just met their real gatekeeper: the issuer.
Nine companies, incl. Broadcom, Verizon and CoreWeave, have objected to OKXICE trading their shares on-chain under the SEC exemption. Nasdaq says it will opt out of its own.
The tech scales. Consent doesn't, yet.
Every good strategy deserves a product.
On Engine, you can turn a looping play, a delta-neutral setup or an ETF-style basket into something other people can buy.
Build it once, distribute it on-chain, and earn when people use it.
Coming soon
Binance's bStocks crossed $1B AUM about 4 months after launch, the fastest tokenized equity product to get there (per Binance).
The tell isn't AUM. Borrowing against bStocks collateral went from 5.5% to 46.2% in ten weeks.
Wrapping is step one. Building on top is step two.
Tokenizing a fund doesn't make it liquid.
Victory Park Capital and Tradable launched VALTS: tokenized access to an asset-backed credit interval fund on Stellar. Monthly stablecoin income. Exits ride quarterly 5-25% repurchase offers.
The token moves 24/7. The loans don't.
Bond desks have stripped coupons from principal since the 80s. Now a Franklin Templeton high-yield ETF does it on-chain.
@pendle_fi listed Ondo's FLHYon (250+ bonds, Dec 10 maturity). Income and principal now trade apart.
Wrapping was step one. Slicing cash flows is step two.
BlackRock's BUIDL is now the #3 tokenized Treasury fund.
Per rwa.xyz: Circle USYC $2.38B, Ondo USDY $2.33B, BUIDL $2.20B. BUIDL is down 19.5% in 30 days.
USDY is up 4.4%. Brand opened the door. Who can hold the token and where it works as collateral decides the leaderboard.
