I’m hoping the Oxford St situation might bring to a head the need to get a grip on London cyclist behaviour. Red light observance is about 25%. As a pedestrian, I am far more nervous crossing a cycle lane than a road.

Did you know? The original Nokia ringtone, known as the Nokia tune, is derived from a piece of solo guitar music called Gran Vals, composed by Francisco Tárrega in 1902.

The idea that he thinks this means “more space less traffic” is so moronic it is laughable. If you put more traffic into less space you get more congestion, which is exactly what has happened! He hasn’t got a clue.

So women wont be able to stay on a main well lit road like Oxford street to hail a cab after. night out? They will be forced into side roads to get to another main road? Or have to walk a kilometer? What about disabled or people with kids or shopping? No jumping on a bus or getting a cab. All the traffic has to go somewhere and surrounding area will be gridlocked. Who does this benefit? There will be more crime and rough sleeping now. Just watch.

🇮🇳 Dussehra festivities in Bulandshahr, India, took a terrifying turn when a massive effigy of the demon king Ravana completely malfunctioned. Instead of shooting into the sky, the fireworks packed inside turned into horizontal missiles, firing directly into the panicked crowd.

This man is Muslim. And he’s saying what too many people are too scared to say out loud. “I am Muslim, but save Britain from Islamism, from fascism, from terrorism.” He’s not attacking his faith. He’s warning about the political ideology that wants to replace British law, British culture, and British values with its own. He’s calling for integration, not takeover. He’s asking people who come here to accept the country they’re joining, not try to remake it. That takes guts. Especially when saying it publicly gets you labelled a traitor or worse. Britain doesn’t need more denial. It needs more voices like his. The ones willing to draw a clear line between faith and political Islam, and defend the country they live in.

A French woman says that the rioters and looters broke into her building and threatened her with rape while she was holding her child in her arms. “That’s collateral damage” responds the feminist activist Bettina Zourli who holds a Master’s in gender studies and focuses her work on gender norms, motherhood, reproductive rights, and voluntary childlessness (“childfree”) She describes herself as “feminist, childfree and Antifa” Zourli also says that all the stores getting looted also constitute a case of collateral damage and that the revolution, which she supports, must be violent. She has lectured in gender studies, including at the University of Lille and Université Rennes.

For weeks now, the online right-wing commentary about the protests-turned-riots in France has focused on immigration issues. But that misses the mark. Many of the looters and rioters are indeed of second-and third-generation Muslim immigrant background, but the groups actually involved in organizing the violent gatherings are communist, socialist, and Antifa extremists. The historic Limoges Town Hall in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of south-central France. A bunch of masked cowards burned down a 143-year-old civic landmark that survived two world wars. That’s not a protest. That’s moronic cultural vandalism. They torched the shared memory of a city, then scurried off into the night. Despicable.

BREAKING: French police have encountered rioters and looters armed with AK47s and Scorpion submachine guns on the streets of Paris, Marseille and Lyon. The information comes from the Le Journal du Dimanche journalist Laura Tchekov, who says that her newspaper has received this information from sources within the DGSI, France’s main internal security agency. The weapons were carried by minors and young adults described as being part of organized crime groups but sometimes also close to the Islamist movement in France. The journalist says that not all armed rioters were arrested and that several of them remain on free foot. It’s believed that police officers refrained from making arrests as they thought they could be both outmanned and outgunned at the moment and that hundreds of people were on the streets, creating a risk of a shoot-out that could have resulted in a large number of wounded and dead.

Protesters in Paris climbed the Republic statue and swapped the French flag for a Palestinian one while waving flags from Muslim nations. Putting those flags on a symbol of French freedom openly claims their culture comes first. It sends Europe a clear message... mass migration is bringing parallel identities that challenge the host country’s values.

I’m French. 🇫🇷 And I’m tired of watching people confuse freedom with the freedom to destroy. You have the right to protest. You have the right to be angry. You have the right to demand change. You do NOT have the right to burn, loot or attack people. A Republic that protects the right to protest must also protect its citizens from violence. That’s not authoritarianism. That’s the rule of law.

I went to witness the riots in Paris. I’m going to tell you the truth: it was only young people from African immigrant backgrounds who came to attack our police officers and firefighters, loot our shops, and destroy everything. An elderly French couple in their 80s was robbed and left in their underwear in the street. The steeple of a 150-year-old church was completely burned down. This is not a social revolt for better education. It’s a taste of an ethnic war that took place today.
