Never put all money at once. Key Rules to Survive & Grow: ✔ Buy on dips not green candles ✔ Ignore short-term noise & hype ✔ Dividends > Price speculation ✔ Review portfolio quarterly not daily ✔ Always DYOR. The discount is attractive.but I would focus less on the ₦110 price tag and more on who is willing to absorb a ₦1.148 trillion block. A transaction of this size is not retail-driven. It will likely be institutional investors, strategic buyers, pension funds, or foreign capital. Their identities will tell us far more about First HoldCo's future than the discount itself. Also remember: - This is not a capital raise for First HoldCo. The company isn't receiving fresh funds. - It's a change in ownership, so the key question is whether the incoming shareholders will influence governance, board composition, and long-term strategy. - If the shares are absorbed without significant selling pressure in the open market, it would be a strong signal of confidence in both the bank and the Nigerian equity market. For long-term investors, today's headline isn't "15% discount." It's who is confident enough to write a ₦1.148 trillion cheque. – at Lagos, Nigeria
₦1.148 trillion worth of First HoldCo shares are hitting the NGX floor today. RC Investment is offering 10.43 billion shares, about 22.94% of the company, at an indicative ₦110 per share. The stock closed July at ₦129.55, so that’s roughly a 15% discount. These are the same shares Otudeko and Hassan-Odukale sold at ₦31 in July 2025, in the largest block trade this market has ever seen. ₦31 then. ₦110 now. In one year. This is not new capital for the company. It’s a legacy ownership position finally returning to the market, and whoever takes it up gains real influence over Nigeria’s oldest bank. Watch who buys. That answer matters more than the price.

Tinubu said he was born on 29th March 1952. And he started his NYSC on 12th November, 1982. Meanwhile, he was already 30 years old as at 29th March, 1982. Then, how was he still allowed to serve when he was already over 30 years?

🚨 FA statement on Chelsea. "A financial sanction of £10 million and a suspended two-window registration ban have been imposed on Chelsea FC for breaches of The Football Association [The FA] Football Agent Regulations, Regulations on Working with Intermediaries and Third Party Investment in Players Regulations.   "The FA charged Chelsea FC with 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 after its current ownership self-reported misconduct upon its purchase of the club. The FA is continuing to investigate individual misconduct arising out of this case. "Chelsea FC admitted to the 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 prior to a hearing and an independent Regulatory Commission imposed a six-point deduction, which was to be suspended until 30 June 2027, and a £10 million fine.  "The club appealed against the suspended points deduction and an independent Appeal Board allowed the appeal and set aside this sanction following a further hearing. In its place, the Appeal Board imposed a registration ban for two complete and consecutive transfer windows which is suspended until 30 June 2027.  "The £10 million fine imposed by the Regulatory Commission was not subject to appeal and the full amount will be invested into grassroots football."

Good day, and thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you find my market updates helpful. Regarding the proposed Dangote Refinery IPO, the exact dividend timeline will only be known once the company publishes its Prospectus. The Prospectus will specify important details such as the offer period, allotment, listing date, dividend policy, and eligibility for future dividends. As a general regulatory guide in Nigeria, subscribing to an IPO does not entitle an investor to an immediate dividend. Dividends are only paid when: 1. The company declares a dividend after reporting a profit. 2. Shareholders approve the dividend at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where required. 3. You are a shareholder on the company's qualification (closure) date for that dividend. For example, if a company lists today but does not declare a dividend until its next audited financial year, investors will wait until that dividend is declared and paid. Conversely, if the company declares a dividend shortly after listing and you qualify by being on the register of members as of the qualification date, you will be entitled to receive it. In the case of Dangote Refinery, many long-term investors are likely to be investing not just for potential dividends but also for the company's future earnings growth and possible capital appreciation. The dividend policy, however, will depend on the company's profitability, cash flow, and the board's decision after listing. My advice is to carefully read the Prospectus once it is released, as it will contain the official information on dividend policy and all other key details of the IPO. – at Lagos, Nigeria

Yesterday, I opened my X DMs and, for the first time, noticed a "Message Requests" folder. I genuinely had no idea it was there. To my surprise, I found dozens of unread messages—some from 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, and even 12+ weeks ago. Many were from people seeking investment guidance, asking questions, or inviting me to join X Spaces. It honestly broke my heart because I would never intentionally ignore anyone who took the time to reach out. 💔 To everyone whose message has been sitting there unanswered, I sincerely apologize. I understand how disappointing it must have been not to receive a response. Please know it was never intentional. I only discovered those requests yesterday night. Regarding the invitations to speak on X Spaces, I'm deeply grateful for every one of them. Unfortunately, due to my current health challenges, I cannot speak continuously for even two minutes without serious consequences. As much as I would love to participate, it's simply not possible for me at the moment. Tonight, I'll start accepting all the message requests and respond to as many as I can. It may take some time, but I'll do my best to get through them one by one. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for always believing in me. I truly appreciate every message, every invitation, and every one of you. 🙏🏽 – at Lagos, Nigeria

Pinnick: Infantino’s FFE Proposal Will Give Each Member Association $20 Million As FIFA President, Gianni Infantino has the right to propose changes, and it is up to stakeholders to accept or reject them. One of the major characteristics of the FIFA President is his ability to consult widely, and he is doing so with the FFE Proposal. Under this proposal, FIFA would sell minority stakes in a new for-profit commercial subsidiary, FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), to external investors. The beneficiaries of the proposal will still be the member associations — including the Nigeria FA, Ghana FA, South African FA, and all other FAs. This proposal should be celebrated in the wake of the most successful World Cup. Amaju Pinnick Deputy Chairperson, FIFA Men’s National Teams Competition Committee
