Patriotic American Veterans Are Coming After Pete Hegseth — and Demanding Harshest Punishment Possible: "Those Are War Crimes"
Veterans and senior officers purged from the Pentagon are done with half-measures. Firing Pete Hegseth is the bare minimum. As the calls for his removal grow louder, they are demanding that Congress go further: impeach him, convict him, and permanently bar him from ever holding public office again.
"There is no pathway back to an effective and respected DOD with Hegseth as the secretary of war," said one senior officer forced out under his watch. "Many of us blame Congress almost as much as we blame him. The government has failed the military, and impeaching Hegseth is the first, necessary step toward restoring any faith or confidence."
The indictment against him is long and ugly. Retired Rear Adm. Michael Smith, founder of National Security Leaders for America, says the case extends far beyond the war with Iran. He points to the deadly boat strikes against civilians in the Caribbean — strikes he flatly calls war crimes, which is to say murder — and to the abrupt resignation of the Southern Command commander. "Was it because he was given an illegal order and he didn’t want to follow that?" Smith asked.
The failures do not stop there. Veterans groups have condemned Hegseth's refusal to evacuate military families from Bahrain before the fighting with Iran began, leaving spouses and children in harm's way when Iran struck the Navy's largest base in the Middle East. They have also highlighted the reported conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and the targeted removal of senior officers who are women and people of color.
Hegseth has not merely been a bad secretary. He has been a destructively criminal one. Simply letting him leave with no accountability should not and cannot happen in a country like the United States of America.
No he is not. Neither is Chuck Schumer. It's time for leadership that's going to take action, not just talk about it & send strongly worded letters. It's time to fight for OUR right to happiness, health & prosperity.

Of course Hyde-Smith is challenging the outcome of this race. She can't fathom that a BLACK man has been ELECTED to replace her racist bigoted MAGA ass. She's losing her "easy cake job" & she's stomping mad.
BREAKING: SWEET KARMA! Democrat Scott Colom, who is about to win the Mississippi Senate seat, only ran after his MAGA opponent stopped him from obtaining a lifetime federal judge position!
This is one of the most glorious backfires in American history...
Back in November of 2022, President Biden nominated Colom to the federal district court in northern Mississippi. He received support from the state's senior senator, Republican Roger Wicker.
But Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, who Colom is now leading by 1,764 in the vote count from Tuesday, refused to support the nomination. In fact, she blocked the Senate from even considering him by withholding her blue slip, an old Senate custom that lets one home-state senator veto a judge.
She defended her indefensible move by insisting that he couldn't be trusted with such power because of past support for transgender rights. In reality, she was just pandering to the racist MAGA base by blocking a Black Democrat.
But if she hadn't blocked him, Colom would be a judge right now. Instead, he's poised to take Hyde-Smith's seat, flipping a seat that a Democrat hasn't been able to win since 1972 in a state that handed Trump 61% of its vote in 2024.
While the race has not yet been called, if Colom maintains this lead, as he seems likely to do, the seat is his.

“I am absolutely willing to accept those results,” Trump told The New York Times.
He's already blaming his party's collapse at the ballot box on the candidates themselves, even though exit polls prove that Americans despise Trump and his policies. They're fed up with endless wars, high gas prices, and rampant corruption in the White House.
“We’ll work with the Democrats, and we’ll, you know, look forward to working with them. We’ll probably work something out," Trump added.
Of course, he'll have no choice but to "work" with Democrats because we now control the House and Senate. His somewhat conciliatory reaction to this overwhelming blowout shows that he's worried. He knows that we have subpoena power now and the moment that these new senators and representatives are sworn in, Democrats are going to launch a sprawling wave of investigations into his crimes.
We also can't rule out the possibility that Trump will reverse course, cry foul, and try to claim the election was "stolen" in the coming days. But even then, he won't be able to do a thing now that we've won so big!

I'm so tired of life insurance agents calling me every few months telling me my premium dropped & they need to verify my info. The next thing I know they've signed me up for a completely new plan. I blocked the number & I now have 4 life Insurance policies I need to cancel. 🙄

HHS is celebrating opioid deaths at a near-decade low, and prescriptions cut to about half of 2015 levels.
Even the Health Affairs piece cheering it on admits "some people may be undertreated for pain."
Then nobody checked on those people.
They counted prescriptions. Not patients.
A drop in prescriptions isn't a win if the people who needed them were left behind.

The military did the research and testing, and they store their RX opioids for decades. On the other hand if you return them, there's a high possibility they'll just be diverted to the street by some slippery fingered pharmacy staff. Think that sounds unfair? Then think about this: news reports state that between 2012 and 2019, 9 MILLION doses of RX opioids were stolen from pharmacies - not by pain patients, but by people with access to the pharmacy, whether diverted by staff or stolen and diverted by other criminals.
Keep your opioids safe from criminals - don't take them back to the pharmacy.

🚨 ANTHEM HAS DECIDED IT’S MY DOCTOR AGAIN
Earlier this year, @AnthemBCBS denied an MRI ordered to determine whether my CANCER HAD SPREAD, calling it “not medically necessary.”
I publicly called them out. The post went viral.
Anthem suddenly contacted me, apologized—and approved the scan.
Now they’re doing it again.
In August, I severely injured my left foot. I’ve been in acute pain ever since and am walking around Brooklyn in a giant medical boot.
After two weeks of fighting just to get access to an in-network podiatrist, I finally saw a specialist. She examined me, ordered an X-ray, saw a hairline fracture and damage around the Achilles/heel area, and ordered an MRI so she can determine exactly what I injured and how to treat it.
My podiatrist says the MRI is medically necessary and needs to happen ASAP.
Anthem denied it. “Not medically necessary.”
Let me make sure I understand this.
The specialist who actually examined my foot, reviewed my X-ray and is responsible for treating me says she needs an MRI.
Anthem — the insurance company that has to PAY for the MRI — says she doesn’t.
Apparently Anthem is my podiatrist now.
My MRI is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20 at 5 PM. Instead of simply getting the medical care my doctor ordered, I am now spending my time calling the provider, the imaging center and Anthem’s appeals department trying to persuade an insurance company to let my doctor practice medicine.
And yes, there is an appeal process.
There is always an appeal process.
Because apparently being injured isn’t enough. You also need a second job as your own insurance claims attorney.
Here is what makes me angriest:
If Anthem refuses to approve the scan, I can pay for it myself.
Millions of Americans cannot.
What happens when someone living paycheck to paycheck is told the MRI their doctor ordered isn’t “medically necessary”?
What happens when it isn’t a foot?
What happens when it’s cancer?
What happens when the patient simply gives up because they don’t have the money, time, energy or platform to fight a massive insurance company?
I have already learned what happens when you publicly embarrass Anthem.
A scan that wasn’t “medically necessary” suddenly became medically necessary.
Nothing about my condition changed.
The public attention did.
Access to healthcare should not depend on your ability to make an insurance company uncomfortable on social media.
My doctor ordered the MRI.
Anthem denied it.
The scan is Tuesday at 5 PM.
Let’s see who blinks.
