A taste of summer on Thursday, then a cooler Friday. The weekend is looking dry; some clouds for trick-or-treat Saturday evening, but Sunday is trending sunnier. Early next week is trending drier, but the 2nd half of the week should be cooler/unsettled.

With very few exceptions, it's been a warm October across the country.

Tuesday night 7-day: great afternoons Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The weekend will be cloudier but mainly dry...a small chance for late-day raindrops Sunday. A ew more rain chances next week.

Long range: pretty mild through middle of next week, then a modest cool down. November is likely to be warmer-than-average, although we are watching for a very early-season polar vortex disruption that presents some uncertainty about the "flavor" of the 2nd half of the month.

You can really get ahead of the leaves this week; next week will bring some rain chances, some gusty breezes and a late-week cool down.

Dry weather continues this week. Halloween looks rain-free and mild; finally some rain chances return as we welcome November and Standard Time Sunday.

71 today; above the average by a baker's dozen. After a slight cool down Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday will probably be a few degrees warmer than this.

Compared to climatology, October has been the sunniest month of 2026. This year has actually featured several sunnier-than-average months. Exceptions include May, August, September.
