Jeffries should have been speaker in 2024. He should have been celebrating his reelection as speaker.
But yall wanted inflation, war and to pay back higher student loans.

I’m perplexed. Did @MarkRuffalo run for anything? Is he trying to block the first Black Speaker of the House? Didn’t see him in Mississippi! Or Georgia.

Will the Real the Senator Stand Up trivia: When Scott Colom becomes the next Senator for Mississippi (and he will) there will be FOUR identical twins in the Senate Democratic Caucus — Patty Murray, Brian Schatz, Mark Kelly and yes, Scott Colom!

Hold on, folks. Can we talk about Hakeem Jeffries for a second?
He spent four years in the minority with no gavel, no subpoenas, and no committee chairs. And he still got results. He forced the vote on the Epstein files, and it passed 427 to 1.
He forced a House vote on extending the ACA tax credits, with three Republicans signing his petition. He forced a vote to restore union rights for a million federal workers.
He helped get Ukraine aid through. And he ran months of war games to prepare for every dirty trick this regime might pull on the midterms.
Three days before the election he told a rally: “One of the first things we’re going to do is run Pete Hegseth out of town.” That doesn’t sound like a guy without a spine to me.
He’s said “accountability” in dozens of speeches. The subpoena power arrives January 3rd, and you’d better believe he plans to use it.
I get it. We’re all hungry for hearings. So am I. But responsible leaders don’t promise revenge on camera, they build cases that hold up.
Speaker Emerita Pelosi made the job look easy, because she was insanely good at it, and she is precisely who has showed him the ropes.
That job seems hard as hell to me, and that's probably why whenever "popular" Democrats are asked if they want it, they're like "Nope. And I will be voting for Leader Jeffries."
An overwhelming majority of Democratic members of Congress plan to back him as Speaker, but he hasn’t even been sworn in as Speaker yet. Let him do the job before we cut him off at the knees.
Republicans would LOVE it if Democrats did their dirty work for them, knocking out our FIRST Black Speaker of the House in history.
JFC, even the horrible, lying jackass Mike Johnson got TWO FULL YEARS, and he accomplished NOTHING for the American people.
Affordability. Accountability. That’s what the MAJORITY of voters asked for, and he’s laser-focused on both.
Give the man a chance.🙏💪

It’s so funny when leftists talk about the Green New Deal because Biden accomplished about half of the provisions in it and leftists literally didn’t acknowledge it at the time or at any time since.

With all due respect,
I don’t give a f**k if Schumer has an inspiring personality
The f**king win he and Jeffries just gave us is inspiring enough.
I live in Texas. Schumer and Jeffries just helped overthrow the oppressive dictatorship I and many Texans have been under for most of our life. People can f**k off with that stupid whining “he’s not inspiring” sh*t talk.
Results are more important than charisma.

I just need Democrats to ignore this online noise and get in there and get shit done.
Like he would….

Hakeem Jeffries is gonna be Speaker of the House.
Chuck Schumer is gonna go one more round as Senate Majority Leader before retiring.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

If we are mutuals and you unfollow me. Can you just block me instead of the block/unblock combo. I promise I never want to see you on my FYP again so block me.

It’s also a problem of people spending too much time on social media and on left-leaning podcasts. They are not doing any of their own research, are easily influenced, and listen to people who have animus towards Hakeem. It’s the feelings over facts crowd.

The way people selectively edited this interview on social media was highly misleading. Here’s what Leader Jeffries actually said:
Agenda = affordability and accountability.
Rep. Raskin and Rep. Garcia will lead on accountability in their respective committees.

It was a good day on Tuesday and I am glad a lot of candidates won. I helped the Biden campaign that won in 2020, including the rust belt states. I also worked for the campaigns of and served in the Administrations of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama - so that’s the last 3 Democratic Pres’ campaigns. One thing I didn’t do is push the campaign of a rapist with a Nazi tattoo.

Replying to @SenSchumer
@SenSchumer was just on the Last Word with @Lawrence and detailed how he recruited candidates, his strategy, and how he funded their campaigns regardless if they supported him or not.
The man had a “Generational remaking of the map” plan and executed it and had historic wins never seen before since Watergate!
He earned and deserves that job.
Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker of the House Hakeem Jeffries 🇺🇸

To the Texas Latinos taking to the internet to claim sole credit for this victory: therein lies the problem, and it perfectly illustrates the fracture between our communities. Rather than acknowledging what genuine coalition building requires, some would rather ignore basic math, so check the Edison Research exit polls.
When your vote splits roughly fifty-five to forty-five statewide, it creates a massive deficit that only Black voters, delivering nearly ninety percent cohesion led by Black women, showed up to close. Raw volume without discipline does not win statewide races, and erasing the voters who carried this across the finish line guarantees that loyalty will be answered strictly in kind going forward.

I'm seeing Mark Ruffalo promoting a petition to block Hakeem Jeffries from becoming the next Speaker of the House, while Hasan Piker, Mehdi Hasan, George Conway, Ron Filipkowski and others are criticizing his remarks on Morning Joe yesterday.
So I have to ask: Did they actually watch his FULL interview?
🔵 Jeffries didn't dismiss accountability. He explicitly DEMANDED it.
🔵 He clearly connected Trump's corruption to the affordability crisis.
🔵 He explained how Trump's war in Iran contributed to higher gas, diesel, fertilizer and grocery costs.
🔵 And he promised congressional oversight guided by facts, law and the Constitution.
🔵 And he made the distinction between ACCOUNTABILITY and RETRIBUTION.
That distinction matters.
Democrats didn't just win an election. They made promises to millions of Americans struggling to afford groceries, housing, healthcare and basic necessities.
Now is the time to unify and deliver, not for ignorant divisiveness that weakens our collective power.
LET'S BE CLEAR: Delivering does NOT mean giving Trump or anyone else a free pass.
Jeffries was beyond clear about the below ⤵
‣ Investigate corruption.
‣ Follow the money.
‣ Issue subpoenas.
‣ Hold wrongdoers accountable.
‣ And if the evidence supports impeachment, pursue it.
But making impeachment the opening act before the new Congress even convenes? That's not a substitute for governing.
Jeffries understands that Democrats have to do BOTH.
Criticism is healthy. Holding leadership accountable is essential. But there's a difference between demanding results and undermining a prospective Speaker before he's had the opportunity to deliver.
#AffordabilityAndAccountability pave the path to the future we're all fighting for.
Not retribution. Not political theater.
Listen to what Jeffries is actually saying before attacking him. And watch the FULL FUCKING interview ⤵ before yapping your fucking traps!

Dems campaigned on economic populism and ending the war, and won a massive number of seats.
Hakeem: we are gonna immediately focus on bringing costs down, ending the war and corruption.
