When people say “happy wife, happy life,” I don't necessarily interpret that as the husband being responsible for keeping his wife happy 24/7 or sacrificing his own happiness.
I interpret it as the energy you pour into your marriage often determines the energy you receive back.

A nigga will put you through so much shit that by the time you finally leave, you don’t even wanna deal with nobody else.
