A extremely rare phenomenon of a rope tor hanging over the skyline near Ningbo, Zhejiang Province on 7/20, a city over 9 million population. The tor was only miles away from the city's landmark, and of course, it did damage. It's not AI generated! ! !

Another update on the Huanggang survey. I have completed the polygons for the entire track, though they will still most likely be adjusted in the future. In addition, I determined a more accurate touchdown point. This survey has nearly 500 DIs so far.

Major update on the Huanggang survey, I have upgraded to to EF4/170, added polygons for the main portion of the damage, and revised many of the concrete home DIs thanks to some people who are much more versed with masonry/concrete structures.

Foshan Tornado Center just released survey results from the tornado sequence spawned by Typhoon #Maysak.A pair of EF3 were confirmed in Daye&Huanggang, Hubei Province, casuing 12 fatalities, ＞500 injuries. rating of another sig tor near Hefei, Anhui Province is still pending.

Tornado then heading directly into Yangtze Community, entire rows of brick-concrete multi-story residences were severely damaged, some of them were swept 1-2 floors away, roof reinforced with steel bars and well-attached to outer walls, similar damage also found in Funing EF4.

Widespread and severe damage done by a early morning tor in Huainan, Anhui Province on 7/7, just 9hrs after the deadly huanggang tor, likely from the same outbreak. This tor debarked shrubs, destroyed brick houses, damage looks like mid to HE EF3 to me.

Update on the survey, I have upgraded it to EF3, though I am still determining the exact windspeed. Here's the survey so far, quite the intense tornado. Note the wind rowing of the warehouse near the end of the industrial area.

My personal path of the strong tornado that impacted Huanggang, China, earlier today. Much work remains to be done, and it was likely stronger than EF2.

Extreme damage confined in the Yangtze community in Huanggang, these large multi-floor brick-concrete residences reinforced with steel bars were stripped off 1-2 floors,which was similar to 2016 Funing EF4's DI. Semi, cement tankers weighs more than 10 tons were tossed >50yards.

Yangtze community was the first community it encountered after it crossing Yangtze river. The open water allows further intensification, it might have reached EF4 for a short period right here, dozens of cars were tossed like toys, hardwoods debarked.

Some of the most awful tornado footage I've seen. The cameraman unknowningly captured one man got sucked out of his home, fell on a car, bounced, and fell back to ground. Later the fallen man was confirmed dead.

The killer tor that hit Huanggang, Hubei Province has lead to at least 12 fatalities per authorities, ＞331 injuries. The death toll could rise with further search and rescue. This would make it become the deadliest tor since Funing 2016 EF4.
