Today, I went back to my roots and bussed into work as part of #WeekWithoutDriving.
It's important that we take the time to step back from the convenience of driving and understand the barriers that nearly a third of non-driving Americans face.

In an incisive piece in @NEXTpittsburgh, @rmhladio quotes @ErokEric of @BikePGH: “You can’t expect that everyone’s going to go to the next intersection when their destination is directly across the street.” Cities may “encourage jaywalking so that cars are forced to slow down.”

We're so excited for this project that will better protect users of the Penn Ave bike lanes by preventing vehicles from parking in it!
Please be patient and safe during construction - there's a lot of moving parts for a project like this, especially when the street remains open
Updates are coming to Penn Ave. from Point State Park to 11th St.!
The mobility project includes enhancements to the bike lane, as well as to the parking and loading lane. The result will be a safer experience for all road users.
