Migraine is killing me do i give up on trying to get anything done and watch the sixth sense or smth
I'm at the end of my wits to stop Pixel from pissing everywhere. I am so tired cleaning after her multiple times a day even when she has a clean and accessible litterbox to go to.
I scrub the area clean but to her it must still smell, and if it smell of piss it is ok to piss there again. If I catch her about to piss I take her to the litterbox but all it does is get my slippers pissed on. She still pisses in another room the next time.

ao3 discourse rn is just like [misunderstanding] [assumption] [taken in bad faith] [ignorance of fandom history] [completely false understanding of the law] [no nuance november: the prequel]

While I think ao3 is (almost) perfect as it is for its intended purpose, I also think it is designed like "old internet" websites once all were, and that we're increasingly deconditionned to the slow broswing and source sustained interactions elsewhere.
People aren't necessarily lazy or entitled or unwilling to give their impressions on works, when they're not commenting, as much as they've been increasingly accustomed to short-attention-span-friendly alternatives. Sometimes those alternatives are at the expense of the author.
You WILL burn out creatively if you place any significant value in external feedback and validation. I am not saying this as an entitled consumer, but as a fellow creative who had to learn the hard way that you must be your own stuff's biggest fan, unconditionally.
Learning to source your motivation in things that don't depend on external factors like visibility or other people's actions is also part of the creative process. It matters as much as outlining, and hitting your word count. It matters as much as perspective and color theory.
