The responses to this post are so unbelievably kind. We’re so happy Twitter has come around on us so hard.
A clink to everyone who escapes with us every week🍻
What?!?!? This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard
On the Escape Pod we almost exclusively talk superheroes, and our audience is almost exclusively Gen Z.
We are far from the biggest podcast in the world but I think we’re a solid enough sample size to prove this wrong.
A major studio head says “Gen Z does not care about superhero movies.”
“That genre belongs to millennials.”

We’re kinda besties with @DiscussingFilm at this point
Robert Kirkman reveals that J.K. Simmons was originally planned to voice Cecil in ‘INVINCIBLE’.
“We sent him the script and he was like ‘I’d rather be Omni-Man’”

We are THE SOURCE. (This is so cool guys we’re freaking out)
‘MARVEL ZOMBIES’ is returning for Season 2.

I KNOW Christopher Nolan played a huge role in this decision and I for one couldn’t be more grateful to him for that. Shoutout Universal!
Universal Pictures is extending its theatrical window in a major strategy reversal:
• The studio has committed to a minimum five-weekend exclusive run in 2026 and seven weekends in 2027 before their films move to home entertainment.
• The move is a major win for theater owners, who have long argued audiences won’t rush to cinemas if movies arrive at home just weeks later.
• “Our windowing strategy has always been designed to evolve with the marketplace, but we firmly believe in the primacy of theatrical exclusivity,” NBCUniversal Entertainment chair Donna Langley told the New York Times.

Seeing the amount of times yall tweet stuff like this really warms our hearts. Obviously @JamesGunn is probably the guest we’d like to have on the pod the most and to see the amount of yall that want that too is really exciting. Love our escape pod family forever and ever.
We cannot stress enough how much we’d love to have @MetroBoomin on our show. We’d love to just nerd out about Spiderman, and The Boys, and promote any upcoming projects of yours.

This gif right here is a prime example why I don’t really understand when people ask us to go back to cutting back and forth between us. We do so much throughout every episode that is now captured by the split screen that would be lost in the pre split screen era.
