DYK that some landlords are imposing a $60 fee on renters for utilizing online portals to pay their rent?
These unnecessary charges further exacerbate the challenges households already burdened by rent expenses face. Let's put an end to these unjustifiable fees. #EndJunkFees

This tenant organizing $ is important. There’s a tremendous power imbalance in our housing system tilting heavily in favor of landlords at expense of renters. Tenant organizing & empowerment are essential to rebalancing power & ensuring safe/affordable homes.
.@POTUS believes, as do I, that every American deserves access to safe, accessible, and affordable housing.
That’s why we are taking significant strides to protect tenants and increase fairness in the rental market. whitehouse.gov/briefing-room…

Here's what's happening in Oregon and why we need SB 611. Rents are unaffordable and people are living on the edge. One unexpected car repair bill and they fall behind on their rent and face eviction. #orleg
“In the 10 states and 34 cities that [Eviction Lab] tracks, the number of such cases filed rose from around 6,600 in April 2020 during the pandemic to over 96,800 in January.”
