In 1995, having just finished his studies at Penn and arrived in Silicon Valley for grad school at Stanford, Elon Musk was convinced the internet would change the world, and he wanted nothing more than to work at Netscape, the company that seemed to be building that future. He applied, waited, and never heard back. So he went to Netscape's office and stood in the lobby, hoping to find someone he could talk to. Years later he admitted, "I was too scared to talk to anyone. So then I left." It's hard to imagine now that the man who launches rockets and isn't afraid to argue with the whole world once stood in a lobby feeling too shy to say hello, but that's exactly who he was back then. With Netscape off the table, Elon spent the summer writing code, and instead of starting at Stanford that fall he put grad school on hold and started his own company, Zip2, with his brother Kimbal.

Starlink is heading to 25 rural classrooms in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan's government just handed Starlink terminals to 25 schools across the country, aimed at remote, hard-to-reach villages. Deputy Prime Minister Ulan Mamatkanov joined the handover. The equipment was donated free of charge. The cabinet said this follows a satellite internet pilot launched in 2025, after which the country adopted rules allowing satellite connectivity to be used permanently.

Thanks to Starlink, five people stranded in the mountains of Kazakhstan were saved 🛰️ Their SUV broke down about 15 km from the village of Kystau Kurchum in the Kurchum district of East Kazakhstan. With no regular signal around, they kept in contact with the emergency service over Starlink. Rescuers drove an all-terrain Trekol about 100 km to reach them and escorted the car back to the village. Nobody needed medical help. In remote mountain country, the hardest part of a rescue is often just knowing where people are and how they're doing. A dish and a clear view of the sky turned a dangerous night into a routine pickup. Starlink is quietly becoming standard safety gear wherever cell towers don't reach.

NEWS: A rural high school in Argentina just got connected to the world, thanks to Starlink 🛰️ Students and teachers at Provincial Oriented High School No. 33 in General Urquiza, in Argentina's Misiones province, now have working satellite internet on campus. The town government, the regional school supervisor and Marandú, the provincial state telecom company, worked together to make it happen. The school's principal called it "a door opening to the future." For a rural school, getting online used to mean waiting years for cables or towers that might never come. A Starlink dish skips that wait entirely. These kids now get the same research and learning tools as students in the big cities.

Tesla just started producing Optimus robots in Fremont 🤖⚡️⚡️⚡️ That line is buried in Tesla's Q3 2026 update, released after the bell today. Tesla says the robots coming off its new high-volume lines are the first production-quality Optimus units it has ever built, and that the process is proven suitable for a commercial product. Summary on the Q3:
• Revenue of $28.05B, flat year over year
• Adjusted earnings per share of $0.48, beating the $0.45 Wall Street expected
• $1.53B in positive free cash flow
• Tesla Semi now in production on the high-volume line in Nevada
• Full Self-Driving (Supervised) on over 75% of new North American deliveries, with 1.74M active subscriptions
• Nearly 2 million unsupervised Robotaxi miles, now with Cybercabs in Austin
• Megafactory Texas has started production Wall Street will argue about margins all night, but the real story is that three new products moved from slides to factory floors in one quarter. Optimus, Semi and Cybercab are all being built now, not just promised. Tesla says battery supply, not demand, is what is holding volumes back, and a four-year-high backlog backs that up.

NEWS: Starlink just switched on in Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 As of today, people across Bosnia can order SpaceX's satellite internet at home. Plans start at 68 marks a month (about €35) for 100 Mbps with unlimited data, and the Residential Max tier delivers 400+ Mbps for 108 marks. Every home plan comes with a 30 day trial, and the kit is self-install. Demand is already so high that some areas are showing a waitlist. Bosnia's mountain villages and rural towns are exactly where fiber and cable never arrived. One small dish on the roof can now give a farm or a family business the same speed as a city apartment in Sarajevo. And when the first thing people meet on launch day is a waitlist, that tells you how badly the connection was needed.

SpaceX is now switching on about 200,000 Nvidia AI chips every single month🤯 On the SpaceX Q3 earnings call, Elon Musk said the company is on track to bring roughly 200,000 Nvidia GB300 graphics processing units (GPUs) online each month for the rest of 2026. Next year the buildout shifts mostly to Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin systems. Elon admitted that powering and cooling that many chips a month is "absolutely insane," but said that is exactly what the team is doing right now, and the pace will only accelerate. He's "fairly confident" SpaceX adds about 10 gigawatts of new compute in 2027, with a 440,000-chip Vera Rubin training cluster planned by the end of the second quarter. Very few companies on Earth could even physically absorb this many chips. Compute is the raw fuel for Grok and everything SpaceX is building in AI. Paired with Starlink cash flow and the launch business, SpaceX is turning into one of the most vertically integrated AI players out there.

BREAKING: Bolivia signs Starlink deals with 85 towns to connect public schools 🇧🇴 Bolivia's President Rodrigo Paz signed agreements with 85 municipalities in the La Paz region to put Starlink dishes in public schools under the Connected Classroom (Aula Conectada) program. Paz pointed out that the dishes link to thousands of satellites without the country buying its own, unlike the Tupac Katari satellite, which cost more than $250 million. Rural schools in the Andes have been shut out of online learning for years, and this is one of the fastest and cheapest ways to close that gap. The pilot runs through 2026 and 2027, with full coverage planned by 2030. The Education Ministry is adding teacher training, while towns have to keep the dishes running.

SpaceX went from a $1.1 billion quarterly loss a year ago to $4.4 billion in profit🙌🏼 Third-quarter revenue came in at $14.6 billion, up 161% from $5.6 billion a year ago. The AI business, which SpaceX calls Super Intelligence, brought in $7.6 billion, more than half the total. Starlink connectivity grew 69% to $5.2 billion and now has 13.6 million consumer subscribers, up 1.6 million in just three months and almost double the 7.2 million of a year ago. Starlink has quietly become the cash machine that pays for everything else, earning $2.4 billion in operating income this quarter while the rocket business sat at break-even because of heavy Starship spending. This is also the first quarter where the AI bet shows up in revenue and not just in spending. SpaceX still poured $19.6 billion into capital spending in three months, $16.4 billion of it on AI compute, so the build-out is only accelerating. Few companies anywhere are growing this fast at this size.

Great news from @tesla in Europe: Tesla is the best selling car in Europe in the month of September. The Tesla model Y is the big number one and the model 3 is the second on the list. Volkswagen Golf is number three with 18.088 cars sold. Tesla sold 40.971 cars which is more than both Opel and Ford with all their models combined. (Opel: 38.071 and Ford 36.579) Again great numbers for Tesla in Europe and we expect these numbers to rise even more once FSD Supervised gets approved in more countries in Europe. @teslaeurope @elonmusk @SawyerMerritt @teslaownersSV @Kristennetten @dvorahfr @mayemusk autoweek.nl/autonieuws/artik…

Ferrari's boss just gave Tesla's new Roadster a perfect score ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Benedetto Vigna, the chief executive of Ferrari, rated the Roadster reveal 10 out of 10 for technology and 10 out of 10 for presentation. Speaking Tuesday at an Italian auto industry conference, he had a simple message for Elon Musk as a European: thank you for showing that an old industry can still innovate and take risks. "It certainly shows that also in the automotive world there's still a lot to be done. We have to keep dreaming," Vigna said. "As a European, thank you for showing us how that, even in an old world, you can still innovate and dare." Vigna is the head of the most famous sports car brand on Earth, a direct rival, publicly praising Tesla. He is basically admitting the whole industry needs this kind of bold bet.

When Elon Musk was studying physics at the University of Pennsylvania, his lab partner and closest friend was Robin Ren, a brilliant student who had won a Physics Olympiad back home in China. Elon himself once said Robin was "the only person better than me at physics." Between experiments, Elon would keep coming back to the same idea, and years later Robin admitted to Walter Isaacson: "He kept talking about making a rocket that could go to Mars. Of course, I didn't pay much attention, because I thought he was fantasizing." I find that so human and so relatable, because even one of the smartest people in the room couldn't see what was coming. Today SpaceX is flying Starship, and that "fantasy" is slowly turning into a plan for all of humanity 🚀

BREAKING: Tesla breaks ground on the first of three Megapack battery parks in Bulgaria Tesla Megapacks are heading to Bulgaria in a big way. Prime Minister Rumen Radev joined Tesla and its Bulgarian partners today to break ground on a 300 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery park in Tvarditsa. The plan calls for 80 Megapack 2 XL units, five hours of storage and operations starting in the second quarter of 2027. It's the first of three sites. Together with Stara Zagora and Veliko Tarnovo, the program tops 2,300 MWh and €350 million. Bulgaria's government is betting on Tesla hardware to keep power prices down. Storing cheap midday solar and releasing it in the evening is exactly the job Megapack was built for. Europe's grid needs a lot more of this, and fast.

NEWS: Tajikistan and SpaceX talk expanding Starlink across the mountainous nation Tajikistan is doubling down on Starlink. The country's ambassador to the United States just met with Starlink's market access team to expand satellite internet across the Central Asian nation. The talks covered the ongoing rollout and new edge points of presence (PoPs), local network hubs that keep traffic closer to users. Tajikistan is one of the most mountainous countries on Earth, where running fiber to remote villages is slow and expensive. Its government has already pitched Starlink a roadmap built around hospitals, schools and public services in remote regions.

Russians have just murdered a baby and two women that were walking in a public park in Kharkiv. This is the face of genocide in the 21st century. Now, under U.S. protection, Russia is inflicting massacres at the highest level of the war, all across Ukraine.

NEWS: Bulgarian court approves EU arrest warrants for two Germans in the Starlink antenna arson near Sofia A Bulgarian court just approved European Arrest Warrants for two German nationals charged over the Starlink antenna arson at the Plana teleport near Sofia. Prosecutors say the pair, both born in 2007, entered Bulgaria for a few hours on October 9, attacked the dishes that night, then left for Serbia. They face 3 to 12 years in prison if convicted, and the defense plans to appeal. Starlink ground stations are critical infrastructure that keeps civilians and Ukraine's front line connected. With EU-wide warrants now active, anyone who thinks satellite internet sites are a soft target just got a clear answer.
NEWS: Bulgaria wants Europe-wide arrest warrants for the two men accused of torching Starlink antennas outside Sofia Prosecutors say the suspects, ages 20 and 21, have already left Bulgaria. A Sofia court is now weighing the request after the overnight attack on October 9 to 10 that burned 11 of 17 antennas at the Plana teleport. Starlink sites in Europe have become targets, with Poland, Bulgaria and Lithuania all hit within weeks. A European Arrest Warrant lets any EU country detain the suspects and hand them over, so crossing a border no longer works. These sites help keep Ukraine connected, and Europe is finally treating them as the critical infrastructure they are.

In 1994, Elon Musk wrote a student paper called "The Importance of Being Solar." It ended with a drawing of a satellite beaming solar energy down to Earth. His professor gave it 98/100 and called it "very interesting and well written... except the last figure that comes out of the blue." The 2 lost points were for the space part. Thirty years later, Elon runs both an energy company and the world's leading space company. I wonder what that professor would say😂 With Elon, the "comes out of the blue" part is the whole point.

NEWS.: Eleven Starlink antennas near Sofia, Bulgaria, were deliberately set on fire 🤬 MP Ivaylo Mirchev of Yes, Bulgaria says two masked men attacked a secret site with 17 antennas that connect to Starlink satellites and burned eleven of them. He has filed questions with Bulgaria's Interior Ministry and its national security agency, which have not publicly confirmed the attack. If this holds up, it's the second strike on Starlink ground infrastructure in Europe in weeks, after the gateway arson in Poland. The satellites is very important, so Europe has to start treating these sites as critical infrastructure, not soft targets.
