Small mammals are moving to higher elevations in the Simien Mountains of Ethiopia, likely in response to climate change. #mammals #ClimateChange

This is bullshit. So lazy. You gotta spell out WHY you think it's not worthy of review--you just gotta. That's the rules.
My colleagues may be interested to learn that the enclosed is considered an acceptable review to the editors of @naturemethods; used as basis for editorial decision and forwarded to the authors as is. Oh also, the study did not include any type of meta analysis...
Confirmation bias gets all the headlines, but I think I actually battle falsification bias when I do science.
**runs analysis -> results support hypothesis**
"...naw, can't be... let's go back and tweak shit until the results are believable..."
This weekend I applied a linear mixed effects model that controlled for random and fixed effects to predict the association between explanatory and response variables across four mountain ranges. #selftaught using #Rstats
The ambiguity of "tropics" has always bugged me considering I primarily work on mammals in the mountains of Ethiopia.
Odd that my answer to the question "do you work in the tropics?" would be "...hard to say"

Is this the future of small mammal surveys? "AHDriFT system surveys provided 1.5–5 times more observations per dollar spent and required 90% less time in the field than Sherman trap surveys" #Mammalogy meridian.allenpress.com/jfwm…

“We would also like to remind you that there are COVID safety policies currently in place, including the optional wearing of face coverings in campus buildings…”. Where is the policy here?!?
What’s the goal behind denying access to young adults that haven’t received every booster when it becomes available? Why do they care whether it’s spread by boosted or unboosted individuals?
Actual COVID update sent today from the university that I am relying on to make me a better scientist.

The CDC now says that due to breakthrough infections and natural immunity there is no reason to treat vaccinated and unvaccinated people differently. Twitter banned users who pointed this out last year. Never forget that people were censored for saying what the CDC is saying now.
Whaddya know... turns out non-charismatic species show up in photographs too

I'm almost alarmed at how frequently students upload the wrong file when submitting assignments. I'm
definitely alarmed when the file they upload is untitled(57).docx #AcademicTwitter
