Grilling the data: application of specification curve analysis to red meat and all-cause mortality sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
The specification curve analysis yielded a median hazard ratio of 0.94 (interquartile range: 0.83–1.05). Forty-eight specifications (3.97%) were statistically significant, 40 of which indicated unprocessed red meat to reduce all-cause mortality and eight of which indicated red meat to increase mortality.

Really clear and confident presentation by @ExPhysGeorge today at the @UoLRespSci meeting. Presenting sarcopenia data from @PHOSP_COVID using the SARC-F questionnaire and found higher risk for older people, with higher BMI, more comorbidities and longer hospital stay. 💪

💎 A gem of a recommendation in this statement ⬇️
Performing a single set to failure of 8-10 exercises (a mix of upper & lower body), twice a week, is enough to get the health benefits of resistance training 💪

Interesting read, but shouldn’t be misconstrued as moderate UPF intakes ⬆️ the risk of disease (especially cancer) when a healthy body composition is maintained - still no convincing evidence
