The only thing "unrealistic" is the fact that there are two people in the car! 😀 By far the best sketch from annual Icelandic Lampoon show of 2019, thank you @ruvsjonvarp 🙏 #modacity #mobility #aðförin #cycling #sustainabletransport

Het Nederlandse #spoor krijgt een nieuw beveiligingssysteem. Dit is nodig, ook om omdat we ons spoor intensiever willen gaan benutten om het groeiende aantal treinreizigers aan te kunnen. #ERTMS #veiligheid 🛤️ nieuwsienw.nl/1353256.aspx?t…+

Lucas shared a traffic model tool Move Meter that analyzes your network & input scenarios of say -increasing cycling infrastructure at different % and what impact that would have on short car trips and subsequently congestion. Here we’re looking at it applied on the Bay Area.

Great to help see these go in. E-scooters were probably the tipping point.
#ICYMI Between June and October, more than half a mile of protected bike lanes were added on campus. Designated bike lanes make the streets—and sidewalk—safer for everyone qoo.ly/swi9z.

The Seville Bike Story is nothing short of amazing! After installing 80kms of bike lanes in just 18 months, the city has gone from 0 to nearly 10% bike mode share, 35% of cyclists are women & allmost no one wears a helmet. Watch full @Streetfilms here: vimeo.com/276916492

These pics show the same Copenhagen street in the 40s with lots of bikes, 50s & 60s where bike culture was scrapped & today where it's thriving again It's quite simple; you get the traffic you build for

Seville built an integrated cycle network in 4 years. It cost €32m. It takes 70,000 trips everyday. They have a metro that cost €800m. It takes 44,000 trips everyday. I'm not a cyclist, but a city not investing in a full cycle network= silly city management. Come on #cork! xitter.gq/smartgrowthusa/status/…
A Spanish city built an entire network of bike lanes in just a few years with public input. "The trick, is to set the expectation that public input will determine *how* to add bike lanes to a street, not *whether* to add them." bit.ly/2I67vjM
