We continue to be amazed by your generous donations. Here’s just four examples of what the workshop have refurbished this week. Why not take advantage of the longer days by getting on one of our pre loved bikes?

Thursday morning, day 4 session 1.
The quietest start yet, the 2 people that have already offered support are far quieter than the people taking it out.

Currently our local police service and county council are missing in action.
So myself and a few other Exonians are stepping in to stop dangerous and illegal drivers from driving down roads they are no longer allowed to use.

Traffic evaporation was brought up at the last HATOC meeting a few weeks ago. It wasn't very well explained, so I thought I'd make a thread explaining it and how it applies to Heavitree & Whipton #ActiveStreets Trial

Replying to @ExeterCAN
@ExeterCAN @ExeterStreets can you help get our zebra crossing repainted in Alphington by the church? It's missing it's stripes but have been told by DCC that it doesn't need repainting yet.

Opponents of calmer streets claim they discriminate against older people.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Spend 15 minutes at a supermarket bike rack & have a look at the age profile of people shopping by bike in Exeter. You'll be surprised. Cheap, easy, active.
People 65 to 75 cycle more than any adult group in the Netherlands.
Not because they’re super-human, but because of the traffic-calmed streets and segregated cycle networks. These environments allow them to participate in society far longer into old age.
