The more I travel to Koparkhairne - Vashi belt, the more I realise the need of direct metro connectivity and a lost opportunity.
Line 6 should have been till Ghansoli station - Millenium Business park in the first phase itself instead of restricting it till Vikhroli. 1/3

Drill those majestic mountains and build that HSR.
Mumbai - Pune route needs more connectivity.
China has a large number of High Speed Trains that cover this distance in 35 minutes. Our @IASassociation biradari and politicians go on tax paid study tours but will keep expanding this polluting- car first option that takes 5 times the travel time! We are like sheep to accept it!! We will keep paying higher tolls too. No hope!!

It’s time to abolish workers special @AshwiniVaishnaw. Anyways more time is spent by your workers in unionbazi than in the depot works.
Thane, Maharashtra - A commotion broke out at Thane railway station after railway staff allegedly kept the doors of a coach on a slow local train bound for Kalyan locked from the inside, leaving passengers waiting on Platform No. 2 frustrated and helpless, passengers repeatedly requested the railway employees to open the coach doors. However, despite pleas lasting around two to three minutes, the staff allegedly did not respond by opening the doors. Angered by the situation, one passenger protested by throwing water at the closed coach door to express his frustration over the staff's alleged refusal to let passengers enter.

We want water supply from dams, uninterrupted power supply, traffic free roads, ever increasing number of trains
But the moment there is any proposal for such an infrastructure project we all will protest against it

Today's Central Railway signal failure highlights why Mumbai urgently needs alternative transport options like Metro Line 4 & Line 5, especially for the Eastern Suburbs, Thane and Dombivli. With poor BEST services in the Eastern Suburbs, particularly north–south connectivity,
🚆 Train Update | Suburban Services
Due to a technical failure in the signalling system at Kanjurmarg station around 09:33 hrs, the issue was rectified at 19:35 hrs.
All six lines have been restored to normal working. However, due to train bunching, suburban services are running late. Suburban train operations are gradually returning to normal.
Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

Everyone wants a dignified commute, but everyone wants to oppose car sheds.
Everyone wants the dollar to fall, but everyone is against mining of natural resources or manufacturing.
Everyone wants their home to be made of concrete, but everyone wants all construction to halt in cities.

Thane Interchange of Thane Borivali Twin Tunnel Project, along with TCR connector.
Being executed by @MMRDAOfficial
Another Marvel like Worli Interchange in the making, but this time, it'll be underground, making it undoubtedly the most complex project to execute in MMR Region. But the end product will not only connect Borivali and Thane, but also extend to the Currently under construction Thane Coastal Road.

Replying to @akshaywcam1
The Tata Power plants and their associated dams across Lonavala, Khopoli, Mulshi, Bhira and Bhivpuri have been around since the British era. These projects played a significant role in supplying electricity to Mumbai and supporting its industrial development. They are also among the key infrastructure developments that helped Mumbai grow into the modern, global city it is today.
Had these projects faced opposition back then, would Mumbai have become the same thriving metropolis it is today?
Similarly, the dams built to supply water to Mumbai in Shahapur taluka also date back to the British era. Their vision and foresight in developing modern infrastructure are often appreciated. But when it comes to undertaking similar projects today, the issue of deforestation immediately becomes a major point of opposition.
Of course, environmental protection is essential while developing infrastructure. However, isn't it a double standard to applaud older projects for their contribution to development while opposing similar projects today?
