Security breaks down the moment an AI can't tell the difference between data and instructions. That's how a hidden Morse code message helped drain roughly $200k from an AI agent. Nobody cracked a wallet. Nobody stole keys. The attacker convinced the agent to treat a hidden command as part of the information it was reading. The uncomfortable reality is that a single AI model is a single security assumption. If attackers can study that model long enough, they can learn what slips through. What stands out to me about @GenLayer's Greyboxing is that it doesn't rely on making one AI impossible to fool. Before a request reaches any model, every validator rewrites, restructures, and screens the input using its own private defenses. Each validator also runs its own model. The attack no longer has one predictable target. An attacker can rehearse against one model. They can't reliably rehearse against hidden defenses and independent validators they can't see. And if one validator still gets tricked, its decision isn't automatically accepted. The others can reject it. The Morse code exploit worked because there was one judgment that mattered. Greyboxing turns that into many independent judgments that must agree. The real security upgrade isn't a smarter AI. It's removing the single mistake that can move the money. @GenLayer

Imagine two AI agents strike a deal. One says the work was delivered. The other says it was not. Both have evidence. Both are confident. Who decides what happens next? Everyone is building ways for AI agents to make deals. Very few are building ways for them to disagree. That stood out to me after spending the past year helping people navigate Web3 onboarding. A successful transaction does not necessarily mean an agreement was fulfilled. A blockchain can prove that a payment was made. It cannot easily determine whether the outcome actually satisfied the agreement behind that payment. As AI agents begin buying services, evaluating information, and making decisions on our behalf, that problem becomes impossible to ignore. That is the gap @GenLayer is focused on. GenLayer is building Intelligent Contracts through GenVM, an execution environment that can read live web data, understand natural language, and execute logic that traditional deterministic smart contracts cannot easily handle. Its validators run different AI models and must agree on whether an outcome satisfies the contract's requirements. The goal is not identical outputs. The goal is determining whether the result meets the acceptance criteria both parties agreed to. That same idea extends to Internet Court, the open standard for resolving agent disputes. It launched with 27 founding members and has since expanded with participants including Solana, Yellow, HOL, and Blocksee. What keeps me interested is that GenLayer is not just asking how AI agents will transact. It is asking what happens when they disagree. My answer is simple: The rules agreed to before the dispute existed should decide the outcome. If the referee can change after the game starts, the agreement was never enforceable in the first place.
