(Part 3) So to say "well Erens just a moron who got too much power" is just wrong imo. Its what Eren believes he is, when its not. Hes very capable and smart in battle, and unifying others as seen in season 1.
(PART 2 to my earlier thread) Erens self hatred is also present early on in how he treats Mikasa as well. Carla says that Eren needs to be there for Mikasa as well, to protect her, but always ends up needing her to save him. This leads to him feeling like hes not good enough->
And frustrated at the fact that he cant fulfill his mother's wish. It also adds a new layer to the table scene too. Eren says "ever since I was a kid, ive always hated you." Obviously its a facade but its apparent hes also speaking at himself in a way, in that he hates himself
