FBI Indianapolis Investigative Work Helps Lead to Arrest in Germany Indianapolis - Investigative work by FBI Indianapolis, in partnership with the Fort Wayne Police Department, helped advance the case involving the death of a 14-year-old northern Indiana girl, contributing to the arrest of an 18-year-old man in Germany on suspicion of murder. The FBI shared its findings with German authorities, whose efforts led to the suspect’s arrest. The FBI appreciates the close cooperation with its German law enforcement partners in pursuing justice for the victim and her family. “Anyone who targets or exploits a child should understand this: There is no safe haven from justice. It doesn’t matter where you live or where you try to hide. The FBI will work with our partners around the world to find you and hold you accountable. When children are victimized, we will pursue every lead and use every available resource. Wherever you go, justice will find you,” said FBI Indianapolis Special Agent in Charge Timothy J. O’Malley. The FBI urges parents and caregivers to take online threats to children’s safety seriously and report suspected criminal activity. Information about potential federal crimes can be reported at ow.ly/3ZkI5100CT9. More on the arrest here: ow.ly/Z3A65100CTf

FBI Louisville, @FBIIndianapolis and @FBICincinnati assisted in a coordinated, multi-state operation this morning resulting in 13 arrests and the execution of 18 search warrants. Led by @IndStatePolice, Operation Rusty Cherub stemmed from an altercation on July 4th, 2026 in Madison, IN involving members of the Iron Horsemen and Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Organizations. The success of this operation would not have been possible without the strong law enforcement partnerships that exist throughout the Commonwealth as well as in Ohio and Indiana. This is just one example of how this #FBI is reducing violent crime at an historic rate and removing the most violent offenders from our streets. Visit @ISPVersailles Facebook page for the full press release.

Preparation can make all the difference in a crisis. The FBI Indianapolis Crisis Negotiation Team recently conducted a weeklong Regional Crisis Negotiation Course for law enforcement partners from across Indiana. The training, hosted by the Franklin Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, helped participants sharpen their skills for responding to high-stakes situations. The course wrapped up with a hands-on field training exercise involving @FranklinCollege volunteers, who served as role players in realistic crisis scenarios. Thank you to our law enforcement partners and the volunteers for helping make this valuable training possible!
