CAPTURED: Another FBI Most Wanted Fraudster.
This is the 6th Most Wanted Fraudster captured since the creation of the new list three months ago – and yet another high value target captured overseas. Subjects captured so far have been responsible for a combined over $2 billion in fraud and were on the run for over 4,000 days collectively prior to arrest.
EMYLEE THAI – a subject on the run since 2022 – has been arrested after allegedly defrauding Medicare for over $100 million. She was arrested in Vietnam and was believed to be hiding there since at least 2023. FBI is actively working with our partners to secure her return to the United States.
Thai is charged with offenses including Conspiracy to Commit Health Care Fraud and Conspiracy to Defraud the United States, among others.
Thank you to our law enforcement partners, the DOJ @AGToddBlanche, the @WHFraudTF, and more who continue to work with us on this historic initiative under the leadership of @POTUS and @VP.

🚨 This afternoon, a former managing assistant U.S. Attorney who supported Jack Smith’s politicized investigation of President Trump has been charged with stealing the confidential investigation documents.
Carmen Lineberger allegedly emailed the confidential material to her own personal email, disguising them as dessert recipes to conceal them from record searches.
Lineberger is charged with four felony counts in the indictment.
This FBI will not hesitate to bring to account those who violated the trust of the American public in an investigation that should’ve never been brought to begin with.

Behind our biggest cases is a common thread: private sector partnership.
I had a great discussion with the Cyber Counsel Group on how timely information sharing drives our ability to disrupt threats. In-house counsel are vital partners in our collective cyber defense.
We don't just work alongside the private sector—we rely on them to help lead the way.
