“ I have a sense that most, if not all proponents understand on some level what would happen if they participated in such studies. Why else would they so aggressively avoid them?”
Do proponents know what "reliably controlled testing for authorship" means? (Part 2)

Sending this to the principal who nearly fired me, a trainee teacher when NO ONE in their right mind would work there, when I said that learning styles are a myth.
Yet another empirical investigation concludes no validity to VAK learning styles. psycnet.apa.org/doiLanding?d…

When evidence, logic, and common sense are all allied against you, all you have left is misrepresentation, straw-man arguments, ad hominem attacks, and false accusations.
And, of course, boatloads of anger and self-deception.
In response to an uptick in misinformation about contributors to our website:
Rather than rely on rumors, may I suggest reading their thoughts about FC/S2C/RPM for yourselves at our website? Here's the link:

Young behavior analysts. The “antique” studies you diss for simple designs and modest findings contained the discoveries that got you here. The people who did them worked against an entrenched establishment doubtful much could be done for autism and other “psychiatric disorders”

Yesterday someone asked me why I would trash my reputation and disappoint my followers (think perhaps it was a loaded question?).
It’s because, every time I am tempted to keep quiet, I talk to someone like Nabeelah and it’s so clear that she and her daughter are excluded from the new autism world order. Listen to her explain in her own words.

This is a further (lived) example of the distance between being an evidenced-based profession and a choose-your-own adventure operation. These whims, fads and fashions do no favours to teachers or their students.
So I start my 33rd year as a #teacher tomorrow.
I've celebrated this by making a list of all the educational trends over those years.

Tomorrow, Janyce Boynton joins @LeighannLord for @SkeptInquirer Presents (we're BACK, baby) to discuss facilitated communication and how the popular podcast The Telepathy Tapes has revived the practice.

ALT Promotional graphic featuring a close-up photo of Janyce Boynton. Text explains that controlled testing found messages attributed to a nonspeaking student reflected the facilitator’s views, not the student’s, and notes that the case is now being presented as evidence of telepathy. Live August 27 at 7 p.m. ET.

Replying to @NIH
@NIH Claims they asked 4 applications to be part of community review. As soon as #ADIS was announced, I CALLED & EMAILED @NIH 15 times & was told they were NOT accepting applications.
Now, of course, as always, the voices of the highest of the high functioning dominate “community voices.” None of the HF comm have had to travel halls of congress retelling the worst stories of their lives about ASD children almost dying, in order to get more federal funding. 😤😤😤It’s so ethically unacceptable to continue to ignore children like mine who represent 20% of the spectrum. Not 1 person there representing sick, suffering severe people. @ProfoundAutism isn’t representing us. They are emphasizing genetics & self advocacy. Vast majority of of #ProfoundAutism experienced regression, GI, PANDAS, immune dysfunction. No one is speaking for them today. @MakeAStandOrg @MakeAmericaHA @MakeAStandOrg @InManyWords @BrianHookerPhD @TACAfoundation @LisaAckerman_ @MAHA_Action @MAHA_Institute @HollandCenter @LisaCellini @brownstoneinst

Last day for comments on IACC's FC-promoting Plan. Promulgates the most dangerous assumption abt autistic non-speakers: that they have so little control over their bodies that the only thing you should believe is what they type through FC.

There is ZERO EVIDENCE for motor disorders that justify facilitated communication.
Ppl with autism don't have trouble pointing to stationary pictures
and they don't need facilitators to hold up letterboards for them.
