Hello rescue community. 👋Please read below. Our amazing @RoCoGB animal advocate created this to help better describe what pledges accomplish. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Plz share & spread the good word🙏
I just thought it’s just worth re-emphasising the role that $ pledges play:
Every $ pledge is a promise of hope - providing vital funds non-profit rescues need to save at-risk dogs off the Corpus Christi euthanasia list & give them a second chance at life 🐶❤️
Pledges alone can't guarantee a dog is saved, but they give non-profits the confidence to step up.
Our team’s track record for the Corpus Christi dogs speaks for itself: pledging & dog sponsorships absolutely work👍
When you pledge, you place your trust in our key advocates doing the heavy lifting. To keep your generosity safe, remember these quick tips to easily spot genuine efforts:
🐾 Direct Communication:
Our group of rescues are always 100% willing to speak directly with pledgers to answer questions & verify their official non-profit status.
🐾 Freedom Proof:
As a reputable advocate
I only ask you to honor your pledge after the dog is safely out, by sharing official "freedom photos"
🐾 Official Channels Only:
Our real rescues look for direct payments to their verified organisations accounts, websites or vet clinic.
🐾Your trust & your donor dollars are powerful.
Let's keep working together safely to give these beautiful lives the second chance they deserve! ✨🐾🐾
Thank you
Hello rescue community👋. We have our favorite type of failure. FOSTER FAIL !!🥳. Katniss was adopted a few months ago. That left Jewel who went to Canada on the August transport. The fosters lost their dog a while back and were not ready for a new dog yet. That all changed when they met Jewel. All Jewel had to do was pass the canoe test. She passed it with flying colors.🥳 Jewel is now called "brook" in honor of their late dog "River". Enjoy your new life sweetheart. 🥰
Hello rescue community👋This a great statement about the consequences of unverified claims can have on legitimate rescues. Also It can help you identify non legitimate rescues. Thank you @Jazzstew34 for posting. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
💔Unverified Accusations Are Hurting Dogs
Rescues and the advocates who network for dogs in kill shelters do hard, voluntary work that directly helps pull animals off euthanasia lists. It’s troubling how quickly unverified claims get treated as fact. When people believe and/or repeat them without evidence, it spreads fear, leads to blocks and lost support, and sows mistrust that extends far beyond those directly attacked—discouraging pledges and help for other advocates and rescues as well. Ultimately it hurts the dogs who depend on this community. Evidence matters—especially when lives are on the line.
A few practical ways to check advocates and rescues: use links to shelter profiles to verify information about the dog, look for consistent updates on specific dogs, transparent handling of pledges (funds going to the rescue or its vet), freedom photos and posts confirming a dog has been pulled, and a track record of follow-through rather than only fundraising posts. Asking questions is reasonable; treating unproven accusations as settled fact is not.
Hello rescue community. 👋. I don't usually post about pups going to fosters. This one is special for all of us who fought to save Apollo. We all know the circumstances that led to Apollo's situation. (I dont want to re-visit it). It even got worse for him:
He was rescue only 😡. Had to be adopted out of state 😡.
These restrictions alone are usually a death sentence. Then add in his age at 8 yrs old he had very little interest. We read his story and knew it wasn't going to end at the hands of the Corpus monsters.😡😡😡
With your generous help Apollo is now in Canada with his foster family. He is safe and loved. Thank you amazing rescue community. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
NO dog should EVER have 2 endure what Apollo & his 2 housemates endured😭
Sexually abused in the most hideous ways imaginable - their trust utterly violated💔
All subjected 2 systemic unspeakable acts by a sadistic teenager🤬
Apollo #A389162 didn't choose his past, but you can choose his future🙏
🙏Plz help Apollo #Pledge4Rescue to help @FHDRofSETX get him out of Texas, with medical care, rehabilitation & the love he has never known
His 2 housemates are already safe with another rescue🙏
Hello rescue community 👋. Another successful transport. I will have individual updates on each adoption. There are some that you will recognize. From just a few months ago. Its hard to believe just a short time ago these sweet babies were homeless, unloved, abused or code red. This is what you help us do. You are all incredible. Every win we have is because of you! Our donors, our advocates and our volunteers.
We are blessed. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰❤️❤️❤️
Hello rescue community 👋. I have lots of updates to share regarding the Oct. transport. First, I need to address something. It saddens me to say that the same people that tried to close us down are now targeting the animal advocates that work with Corpus shelter. The advocates do not work for a particular rescue. They raise money to attract rescues. Without advocates hundreds of dogs would die in Corpus. @RoCoGB and her team work extremely hard posting for these sweet babies. They put their heart and soul into this work. They see the worst abuse/neglect cases and have to bear the weight if a dog is not rescued. All dog lovers need to support these amazing people. I have tagged them below. They are truly heroes.
I have also posted the situation in Memphis TN. This is what happens when there are not enough rescues and advocates. Is this their endgame? Will they not be happy until hundreds of dogs are murdered?@LisaBrabson @rothfarms @Danawb26 @LeporidaeCheryl @OlwynHope @SamfromSpain
Hello rescue community .👋 Transport update. They should be at the Canadian border tomorrow around noon. From there we have 2 stops in New Brunswick.
30 pups will meet their furever family's tomorrow. These pups were mostly discarded/abandoned or code red. Your support allows us to make this happen. We are so thankful for our supporters..❤️❤️❤️❤️
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hello rescue community 👋. I have lots of updates to share with you. 5 lives saved yesterday. 🥰 I want to begin with my favorite time of the month. Its transport time. 🥳. 30 plus dogs from multiple rescues going to their furever homes. I am so excited for these sweet babies. Most have known only neglect/abuse and now they will be spoiled rotten.
All the adopters are sent a life 360 link to follow their new pups journey. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Welcome to the @FHDRofSETX family sweet girl. You were part of a huge neglect/hoarding situation. You have probably never known love. That is over now. You are safe and loved. ( BTW we will rename her). Terrible name 🙄

Hello rescue community 👋September transport update #5. Gilbert was found in the woods starving. We are assuming he was dumped. Jeanine was called to see if she would take him. In true Jeanine fashion she did.
This sweet boy went to Newfoundland. Its an extra 15 hours after our last drop off. What a journey from being abandoned in Texas all the way to NFLD. 5800 miles later he is loved and safe 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hello rescue community.👋 A couple weeks back our amazing foster (fosters 5 plus dogs at a time) had her dog run roof destroyed by a storm. A lot of people don't see the behind scenes. We face adversity often. But we will never give up!! We just build it stronger.
Thank you @Lorircollie for sharing!! 🥳🥳🥳
I believe he has been tagged for rescue. Thank you for sharing. The rescue community is amazing!! Big shout out to Second Start. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
