ALT Forecast Uncertainty Confidence has increased for at least moderate snowfall impacts across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Sunday into Monday. However, specifics such as snowfall amounts, remain highly uncertain and are related to small differences in the storm track. Changes in the forecast are expected. Check back for the latest updates. Heavy Snow Possible Snowfall rates over 1” per hour are possible, which could lead to hazardous travel conditions. Should higher totals above 6” occur, the weight of the heavy snow may lead to scattered power outages. Strong Winds and Coastal Hazards Strong winds are likely from the coastal Mid-Atlantic to southern New England, which could result in power outages. Coastal flooding and erosion are also possible. Where these strong winds overlap with snowfall, reduced visibility and difficult travel is possible.
