Congratulations 🙏🏽 @B_Fernandes8
The first United player to win the PFA POTY in over 15 years...
Despite the critics rightfully earning recognition of peers and rivals
A testament of hard work and effort
Hopefully we won't wait another 15 years for a next Mens United PFA
Howwww is he going to turn it around....
It's a fundamental misunderstanding of why we've been poor this season
It really doesn't seem like an acclimation issue
If it was more time would help
It's a gap in the profiles available
That's not going to be fixed with more time
🚨🎙️ | David Ornstein on #mufc keeping Carrick after the Bournemouth defeat:
“The club also looked at the reaction of the players back at Carrington on the training ground and felt there was a REALISATION after they were booed off the pitch against Bournemouth.
“They were determined to put this right, that they couldn't sack another manager immediately and that it was THEM who had to sort this out.
“They couldn't hide behind him. And so they GENUINELY decided to move forward with Carrick and give him a CHANCE.
“They've NOT been speaking to other coaches directly behind his back and they STILL BELIEVE that he can bring about this upturn in the next week, however tough it's looking at this point.”

Exactly
Too many of Utd fans see that and envy the players or the manager but don't understand the system instilled that has them successful in the first place
We could put Hurzeler here or any Brighton player and they won't be as successful because the structure is different
He definitely isn't
But he's the easiest and fastest problem to fix
If he adapts then he could more than survive here until we fix the other bigger problems
But at the rate he's been going he wont survive long enough to address those...
🚨🎖️| “Manchester United DON’T think Michael Carrick is the biggest PROBLEM here”. #MUFC [@David_Ornstein, @NBCSports]
There's a lot of good about Glasner
What he did at Palace was mint
Even what he's doing now isn't bad
xP- 3rd
xG- 4th
xGA- 2nd
Big chances missed - 4th
But it's the outbursts man
How it ended at Palace was horrid
The diva mentality on coaches never a good look imo

Exactly...seeing all these complaints about our players
Brighton have 34yo Dunk in their back line and kept a clean sheet away to City
Anybody want to bring Dunk here?
There are NOT 16 better squads that us in the PL
How we USE our players is one of our main problems...
What's the point in waiting
Unless there's some kind of break clause in the contract they're just stalling for time
He's not managing like an interim
So he's not changing his style
And the players aren't going to magically adapt to it
#MUFC decided on plan to get to international break then make assessment on Michael Carrick following crisis talks this week.
Potential (now realised) loss to Chelsea baked in, presumably.
Roma + Aston Villa ahead.
Points per game 2013-24: 1.81
Points per game 2024-now: 1.38

He may be an interim to the board
But the problem is he's not managing like an interim
He's still playing them the way he wants
Some slight adjustments which is why we started better today but it's too little too late
Results buy patience
Better "performances" means little
🚨BREAKING: Michael Carrick has been told by the #MUFC board he will remain in charge, no matter what happens up until the next international break at least. However, the hierarchy could be forced to make a change if the owners intervene.
This mentality applies to everything in life relationships, work, school
YOU are responsible for YOU
As long as you keep blaming external factors for what happens to you, you're empowering those factors over your ability to do something about it
Empower yourself instead...
Replying to @FabrizioRomano
Making excuses for the result is exactly why we'll remain exactly where we are
Accept the result for what is was
WE were NOT good ENOUGH
If we keep blaming things we have no control over the loss we'll never claim the power to make an improvement...

I mean losing to Chelsea at the Bridge a man down isn't a bad result in itself
What MAKES it a horrid result is the context of the season leading up to it and the position we find ourselves in
Which there is no-one else to blame but ourselves
Bryan Mbeumo not reading the room.
“I think every goal hurts. With what we’ve shown today I think we can really be, I won’t say proud, but I think the mentality was there.
"Everyone worked really hard and we still have to modify some bits on the training ground, work even harder, and we have two very important games [coming up]." #mufc
29 PL games
5 CL games
1-6 FA Cup games
There is ZERO reason to write off this season
This is the same team y'all were applauding when we were pushing for 3rd last season
"Turning it around" means winning
It IS possible with these players
Not with these players x this style
If Carrick refuses to change then he must BE changed
"All our players are awful" and "we want to sell them all"
We've heard this all before
Getting results with this squad is not MAGIC
From the time managers become obsessed with their plans we struggle

CHE v MUN
Every game a must win for Carrick now
He's been backed to "turn it around"
And that looks like wins simple as
Chelsea have natural width in their set up
May see Amad dropping deep like against Leeds to compensate
Good to see Mainoo back
Cunha with a point too
Actually a bit more of a 2 five 3 with Yoro pushing up a lot on the rhs
He has been ok at moving the ball forward
Still feels he needs to stick with a base 3 to help keep possession
I'll have to check but feels like a game with the CBS not having a lot of possession
United fans...look for your attacker
Small sample but still
Spoke about the BCC
But the bigger concern is the dribbles imo
Especially for our wingers
Feels like at least in Cunhas case he's dribbled less since joining
When next we're recruiting it's a clear profile we lack
