Removing the Social Security wage cap would close 58% of the program's long-term funding gap, per the Trustees.
One change. More than half the problem solved.
Trump & Republicans in Congress keep protecting the cap instead.

Big Tech gets is getting massive tax breaks for using it up our resources. One facility can use enough water for 360,000 households a year. Data centers require so much power they not only raise our electric bills but they put the grid our families count on at risk. This is not ok. nerc.com/globalassets/progra…

Lifting the Social Security cap would bring in roughly $3 trillion over 10 years, per a Peterson Foundation estimate. That's not pocket change. That's Social Security for our grandkids, paid for by asking billionaires to pay their fair share. nbcchicago.com/news/local/20…

Who pays when a data center comes to town? You do. First in tax incentives that are corporate giveaways. Then every month as families are paying almost 10% more in their electric bill than in 2024. cnbc.com/2025/11/26/ai-data-…

Corporate tax receipts fell 16% last year, in large part because of tax breaks for big tech building data centers. There's money. It's just not going to working people. cnn.com/2026/10/08/politics/…

Senators asked 7 data center companies how many full-time jobs their facilities created. Not one gave them full numbers. Billions in tax breaks and nobody can show the jobs. That's not a deal. That's a giveaway. warren.senate.gov/wp-content…

I've heard it in state after state too: seniors who did everything right and still can't stretch the check. They're not asking for a handout. They're asking why the richest get to stop paying into Social Security partway through the year when teachers pay on every dollar. ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/…

The America I organize for: seniors who don't have to ration their pills. Kids who can see a doctor when they're sick. Child care that doesn't eat up a whole paycheck. We can afford all of it when billionaires and corporations pay their share. A few ideas: rooseveltinstitute.org/publi…

Whenever you see Trump golfing, think corruption.
To avoid paying taxes on billions of dollars, he's found a loophole: he "gives up" futher development rights at completed golf courses, claiming that makes them wildlife habitats— and thus charitable donations.
But they aren't wildlife shelters, they're a tax shelter.
And the president is using his position and compliant partisans in Congress, the IRS, and the DOJ to get away with this con, as CNN's Erin Burnett and Forbes' senior editor Dan Alexander explain.
The president has long claimed charitable deductions on golf courses he never gave away. Now, facing one of the most significant tax bills of his life, he’s pushing the scheme even further—and appears to be using the presidency to get away with it.

UNBELIEVABLE: Meta is giving Mark Zuckerberg financial incentives to stay in California in the event a wealth tax passes in November.
On top of the enormous wealth he's already accumulated by addicting kids to their social media feeds, this is gross - and it's yet another sign Meta should be paying more in taxes, since they have so many resources to burn on nonsense like this.

Elon Musk has spent more money on American elections in the last two years than George Soros has in his entire life.
Georgia's data center tax breaks are on track to cost nearly $3 BILLION in state and local revenue next year.
Schools alone could lose $295 - $320 million.
That's enough for a year of free school meals statewide.
