Lib Dem leader Ed Davey attended a fancy charity gala in Feb at the invitation of a fossil fuel firm.
All involved claim that there were no strings attached. But why else would a company wine and dine a politician, if not to gain political influence?

Genuinely canβt quite believe that @Labour is supporting fuel duty freeze which
- has cost c. Β£90bn since 2010
- β increased emissions by 7%
- β benefits wealthiest most
Has it totally given up on progressive politics? #Budget2024

Simply cannot believe this Govt is still freezing fuel duty. UK Treasury is losing billions of pounds which could be spent on buses and trains that would benefit everyone, particular the poorest households - 40% of whom donβt own a car #Budget2024

π’EIR Ltd is proposing to mine coal tips in South Wales to evade @WelshGovernment policies against coal mining. This idea is bonkers but local community campaigners are already resisting it β With 100s coal tips, this isn't the way to remediate themπ

Jenny and Terry with Cardiff FOE's community quilt outside Parliament. FoE held a United for Warm Homes event in Parliament on Mon 26th Feb to launch a new report that highlights the health impacts of cold homes and fuel poverty. An inspiring event.
