This is a truly remarkable and years long project from my constituents in Hartwood. They have lovingly researched those who are buried at the cemetery and given them the dignity of identity as well as restoring the grounds. A heartwarming story. Well done to all involved ❤️
After 3 years of unearthing, discovering, & piecing together the history of the cemetery, we finally can install number plates made from reclaimed slates. Each plate will correspond with the names on the lairs. A big thank you to @HeritageFundSCO, @NL_Heritage for your support!

.@TheBatman fans might know Hartwood Hospital as Gotham Orphanage.
The real history of the abandoned psychiatric asylum is steeped in secrecy but its patients’ stories are being brought to life through the dedication of local volunteers.
