A group from CAC visited @FPConservatory today! They loved seeing the titan arum, otherwise known as the “corpse flower” because it only blooms for a few days and then collapses! 😊 #InspiringLifeJourneys

The @FPConservatory corpse flower bloomed this week, unleashing its notorious rotting-flesh scent. Before you take in the sights and smells of this rare horticultural moment, check out our story from 2020 on the notorious plant, known as "Bob Smellanor." columbusmonthly.com/story/li…

The putrid-smelling plant drew crowds to the venue to witness a bloom nearly a decade in the making.

The flower started collapsing on Tuesday evening, July 18, and the spadix stood back up overnight this morning. We expect a collapse tonight or tomorrow morning. We started a time-lapse yesterday afternoon to grab footage of the collapse.

Thanks to this incredible team of volunteers from the @FPConservatory Community Connections group who moved a huge amount of soil into garden beds for the community garden at the Champion Ave food pantry. Fresh produce to share with our neighbors is on the way!
