GW9 Predictions
CHE 2-1 MUN
Leadership group want Carrick gone & will down tools until they get their way. Chelsea will be fired up.
MCI 2-2 BHA
"Just give it to Doku" (or Ndiaye) isn't good enough & MCI leak goals at home. Brighton are good enough to take a point.
BOU 1-0 LEE
A tight contest but BOU should have enough.
COV 1-2 SUN
Sunderland seem adventurous away from home and they can get the points they deserve.
HUL 1-0 IPS
A difficult game to call. Backing the home team.
Options to be aggressive after another bad week:
1. WC9, 0-1 ARS DEF & FH10.
2. WC9 3 ARS DEF & FH12 or FH14.
3. FH9 only.
1 is bravest! Tough fixtures for ARS:
LIV(A), NEW(A), MCI(H), BRE(A), TOT(A). Excluding FH10. Then BOU(H) & new manager MUN (H).
The opportunity to move off ARS stems from some tough fixtures coming up and the fact they are starting to look shaky. Tonight's defeat to Fleetwood will dent confidence.
However they do also soon have 11 games in a row in London. That sounds great .. in theory.
GW8 Predictions Results:
Correct:
- Spurs win
- Chelsea red card
- Random defender points
- Many defensive howlers
Incorrect:
- Thiago goal (only assist)
- COV vs NFO high xG (only NFO)
- Eze points (blanked)
GW8 Recap:
- 1FT MGW > Saka who got injured midweek
- GK rotation (-7pts)
- Template finally shaken up
- Time to change approach
Thankfully still top 100k after several awful weeks in a row. But not interested in top 10k or whatever, goal should be to come 1st.
GWs 1, 3, 5 were low scoring.
GWs 2, 4, 6 were high scoring.
What will the great equalizer, wet and windy weather, bring for GW7?
The match-ups are already extremely even.
Bad weather apparently reduces goals, but CS odds are low.
Will there be many 1-1s?
I forgot to mention that bad weather decreases goals scored but it does increase odds of defensive mishaps. Goalkeepers spilling the ball, defenders miscontrolling or misplacing passes under pressure etc. Milenkovic managed one last night.
Cheeky one: red card for CHE vs Spurs.
Rogers was extremely lucky last week. They got so many reds last season.
Who will it be this weekend?
This account is used to document my FPL decisions to improve them.
So here are all my bad decisions since the international break:
GW6:
MGW(c) 2pts vs
Haaland 6ps, Palmer 8pts, JP 12pts
GW7:
Manzambi 1FT bench -11pts
GK rotation -4pts
GW8:
1FT MGW > Saka (injured midweek)
GW7 Recap:
AMATEUR HOUR
- 1FT: Szobo > Manzambi
Did transfer 20 secs before deadline so Manzambi got trapped on bench (11pts), and of course Schade then subbed on for (0pts) ☠️😂
- Leaks again. Got hit by Gvardiol (0pts)
- Rotated GKs (-4pts)
Somehow I am still in top 50k with WC and FH remaining.
I won't procrastinate my decisions until 1 min before the deadline again! At least the Manzambi pick was good.
Already done MGW to Saka for next week as a longer term move. Will monitor Haaland.
Can't see a good time to WC atm. Not sure WC is better than having 4 or 5 FT, since FT can be used in different GWs. Hopefully the template gets upended in some way to keep things exciting.
Also unsure when to FH. Only thing I know is need to go against ARS def on FH.
GW12:
ARS vs MCI
NOT vs CHE
Considering many ppl will have 7+ players in these two games, GW12 seems a good time to differentiate.
