Benching Headache this week!
Do I Start Barnes Home at Villa or Mbuemo Away at Leeds.
Currently leaning towards playing Barnes with Villa having played mid week (as did Man U).

First draft of the season I’m actually happy to share 👀
I’ve made a lot of drafts, but this is the first that feels close to how I might start.
I tend to go fairly template early on — slow & steady has worked well for me.

Maguire could easily become Shaw if I need the extra £0.5m elsewhere.
And then there’s Foden 👀
Not having Arsenal next week makes him very tempting at that price.
Easy price point to move away from too.
Gomez is another one I’m waiting on.
I want to see the BHA info following their game this week before making a decision.
Ajer & Van Ewijk depend more on my BB plans.
If I’m BBing early, I’ll just target the best cheap options for that week.
Mbeumo ➡️ Szoboszlai is the big one.
Going to Szo gives me the funds for a 2nd Arsenal defender, which is very tempting.
But I’d lose some flexibility, and being able to pivot feels especially important at the start of the season.

At the start of the season I like playing fairly template.
A slow & steady start has worked well for me in the past, so there are plenty of familiar faces here that I don’t feel need much explanation.
The more interesting decisions are the ones I’m still unsure about…
