FPL Vert

3,511 days ago, out of boredom, I decided to do an FPL stream. Just my webcam on top of a website - no real confidence, no real idea what I was doing, and no aspirations for it to be anything other than a one time thing. Around 40-50 people tuned in for that first stream. Towards the end someone asked me if I’d do it again to which my reply was “If people are interested I’ll do it again, but I don’t want to turn it into something official that’s going to happen all the time”....little did I know 🤣 And today we ticked over the 500,000 subscriber mark! I’ve sort of ran out of ways to say thank you at this point, but I’ll do it anyway - THANK YOU! I’m still not quite sure how we got to this point but we’re here, and I am beyond grateful. Just like in FPL, you need a bit of luck along the way, and I’ve had my fair share for sure. But I also worked pretty hard too, there were many late nights after working all day just to make sure I never missed a Gameweek, and I’m glad I never did. I wasn’t the first person to create FPL content, but I do think in some ways I helped shape what FPL content is today, at least on YouTube. There was once just one deadline stream, and now there’s a ton, and hopefully I’ve helped others along the way with answers to questions and what not too. So thank you for letting me do all that, for allowing me to go full time, for helping me get to 500k, and for ultimately changing my life. I guess the next goal is 501,000 subscribers, because of course you just keep going 😄 Hopefully there’s many more seasons to come, but you can never be to sure in this job, plus I’m an old man in the world of FPL these days 😆 I'll continue the hope I have every year - just let me keep doing this for one more year at least... Thanks again, and good luck this season! 🍻 And yes, I know this post was boring, too long, and you didn’t read it, but if you did get to the bottom, remember this - Fernandes has always been, and still is, essential.
