Random question! Do you pay attention to criticism of media that have similar themes or characteristics to your OC? If the criticism makes sense to you, would you consider applying it to your OC too? Or you don't really care about it since your OC is just for your own enjoyment?

to know what we want to express to the reader is to understand storytelling.. pacing, story flow, paneling, dialogue flow/speech bubble, at some point we won't know what we want to draw anymore trial error will be here and there

on the topic of making a comic i saw someone saying that the artist doesnt need to be good at analyzing & breaking down media, they only need to know what they want to draw and what they want to express to the readers. well how do you think an artist can be good at the latter.
