I recently shared my thoughts on the ongoing discussion around physical game releases in the industry. While the future of physical editions remains uncertain, I hope the passion of fans who want to keep their favorite games close and preserve them in a tangible form will continue to endure as an important part of gaming culture.

I’m often asked whether FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION connects directly to Advent Children, but that’s not something I’ve ever explicitly confirmed. The Remake trilogy has been developed to embrace the wider FFVII universe, incorporating the lore and worldbuilding of various FFVII spin-off titles, including Advent Children, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. As for how it all comes together in the end, I hope players will experience that for themselves. #FF7R
