The recent cookie-stuffing allegations involving PropFirmMatch bring back concerns we had while running FairPropReviewer. We were already aware of the tracking practices now being questioned. In our view, they gave PropFirmMatch an unfair competitive advantage, and that was a major reason we chose to step away from the space. It became difficult to keep investing our time and resources when we felt we could no longer compete on fair terms. We also owe an honest explanation for our silence. We did not want to go public and have our concerns dismissed as jealousy or bitterness from a competitor. We feared becoming the target of hostility simply for speaking up, so we chose to leave quietly. Now that the issue is being discussed openly, we want people to understand what influenced our decision to close FairPropReviewer. Traders, prop firms and independent affiliates deserve clear answers about how referrals are tracked and credited. The platforms that ask this industry to uphold fairness and transparency should be willing to meet those same standards themselves.
