I was able to get some mechanics work in today. Went back to basics to fine tune some pitches I have been working on. Then, I was able to work on catching during a friend’s lesson. #dotheworknooneelsewantsto @uncpembroke @CatamountSB @MasonSoftball @Vol_Softball @FSU_Softball

Some highlights of my weekend at the USC Upstate Showcase. I’m very thankful for the opportunity I have to play with Unity - Richards 18u as a 2030 freshman. I am very excited to see my progress over the next few months as I challenge myself in this older division. @uncpembroke @LanderUniv @AndersonU

It happened at the Little League fields where I have played since I was four years old. These are the fields where I caught my first ball in a glove, got my first black eye, hit my first ball, was hit by my first pitch, threw my first pitch, laid down my first bunt, and played outfield, infield, and catcher for the first time. They are where I picked my first walk-up song, played All-Stars for the first time, went to States for the first time, threw an opening ceremony pitch, coached my first Minors team, and gave my first beginner pitching lesson. They are even where I met my first crush and broke in the first bat I ever bought with my own money. More importantly, these fields taught me how to win, how to lose, and how to be a good teammate. They are where I have shed some of my hardest tears, shared my biggest laughs, and met the best friends who have become family. So it feels fitting that I accomplished another first here. I got to watch my first home run clear the outfield fence while so many of the people who have shared this journey with me were there to see it and celebrate with me. I have grown up on these fields, both as a player and as a person. Now, one more unforgettable memory belongs to them. My first over-the-fence home run. 🥎💣 #ClassOf2030
