Solo este año, han muerto más cristianos a manos de musulmanes en Nigeria que habitantes de Gaza en tres años de guerra. Ni un solo musulmán ni activista propalestino ha protestado, tal como sí lo hacen por Gaza. Qué curioso.

TRANSLATION: Once the French rioters began breaking into apartments & raping women, and X reported it, social media in France had to be shut down. Our global elites must maintain the fiction that these are just frustrated "students" who've taken to the streets agitating for a better "education."
BREAKING: France's Prime Minister asked telecom companies to prepare to block social media platforms. He doesn’t want the world to see what he’s done to France.

Right. Just so we’re all clear. Farage and Reform tried to put me in prison because I backed the mass deportation of Pakistani child rapists and their foreign wives/relatives who allowed it to happen. My home was raided by armed police late on a Friday night as a direct result of Reform’s allegations. My guns were seized. They tried to ruin my life. In every way. Farage admitted on national television it was all because I backed mass deportations. He said that was the moment they realised they ‘had to get rid’ of me. Not the bullshit allegations they went to the police with, but the fact I want the Pakistani rapists removed from our country. He admitted it. That all happened. Fair enough. I took it on the chin, and planned out our next step. I founded Restore Britain to give the British people the democratic option to agree with me. Restore Britain will, without apology, deport every last foreign rapist and all foreign accomplices who knew it was happening, yet failed to act. If that means entire communities go, that means entire communities go. I really don’t care. We will rid Britain of that cancer. Now Reform are incandescently angry that we are giving the British people that choice. Deploying increasingly desperate smears against our movement. If people don’t agree, they can vote for someone else who won’t deport. There are plenty of options - Reform, Labour, Tories. Take your pick. Go for it. But if you want those evil scumbags out of our country, along with every foreign coward who enabled it? You now have that genuine option. Restore Britain.

The globalist project is living its 1988. Remember the USSR in 1988. On paper, the empire was still standing. The Party, the army, the Politburo, Pravda, the parades on Red Square. Everything looked solid. Three years later, it no longer existed. Or remember September 9, 1976. Mao dies. For ten years, the Cultural Revolution had tried to wipe out China's past. Two years later, Deng Xiaoping launches his reforms with a four-word slogan: seek truth from facts. Ideological systems don't decline slowly. They hold, they hold, they hold, and then they collapse in a few years. Because they're not held up by reality. They're held up by belief. And when belief goes, nothing is left. That's where we are. Now, why compare the globalist project to communism? Because it's the same software. They just changed one variable. Marx explained history as a struggle between oppressors and oppressed. The oppressor: the bourgeois. The oppressed: the proletariat. The solution: abolish the bourgeoisie and build a new world on its ruins. The globalists kept the entire structure. They just swapped the enemy. The enemy is no longer the bourgeois. It's civilization itself. Western civilization. Its borders, its family, its religion, its history, its heroes. Guilty by nature, the way the bourgeois was guilty by birth. You don't reform it. You deconstruct it. And like communism, the end goal was never just to change institutions. It was to change man. The Soviets had the New Soviet Man. Mao went further. In 1958, he wrote that the Chinese people were poor and blank, and that on a blank page you can write the newest and most beautiful characters. A blank page. That's the dream of every utopian. Erase the human being as he is, so you can write the human being as he should be. The Cultural Revolution even had a slogan for it: destroy the Four Olds. Old customs. Old culture. Old habits. Old ideas. Read that list again. It's the program of "deconstruction," word for word. Today's new man is the same blank page with a different design. No borders. No roots. No nation. No inherited culture. Interchangeable, mobile, reprogrammable. A consumer without a homeland. But every attempt to engineer a new man in the 20th century hit the same wall: human nature. People keep loving their family. Their land. Their language. Their God. Their dead. You can repress it for 70 years. You can't erase it. The Soviet Union tried for seven decades, and the day the pressure lifted, Russians went back to church, Estonians went back to singing in Estonian, and Poles went back to being Polish. As if nothing had happened. That's Hayek's fatal conceit in its purest form. Believing that a handful of planners can redesign what thousands of years of civilization produced. So what comes after 1988? In the USSR, the answer had a name: glasnost. Openness. The moment when what everyone knew but nobody could say finally gets said out loud. The archives open. Stalin's victims are rehabilitated. In 1989, The Gulag Archipelago is finally published in the Soviet Union, in the very country that had banned it. Overnight, the official lie becomes unsayable. That's what's coming for the globalist project. A great glasnost. The files will open. The decisions, the memos, who knew what, who decided what, who censored what. Every institution that spent decades prescribing reality will have to answer to reality. The Twitter Files were just the trailer. And after the truth comes the renaissance. Look at what happened every time an ideology was lifted off a people. China after Mao: around 800 million people out of poverty in four decades. The largest leap out of misery in human history. Eastern Europe after 1989: Poland, the Baltics, Czechia. Countries frozen for 45 years became some of the most dynamic in Europe within a generation. When you lift an ideology off a people, you don't get emptiness. You get an explosion of energy. Everything that had been compressed for decades comes out all at once. Now imagine that for the West. The civilization that produced the Renaissance, the scientific revolution, the industrial revolution, the moon landing, the internet, and now artificial intelligence. Held back for thirty years by an ideology telling it to be ashamed of itself. When that lid comes off, it won't be a recovery. It'll be a renaissance. And it will be extraordinary. The globalist project is living its 1988. 1989 is coming.
Yesterday I was talking with a guy who worked at the European Commission. He told me their project was perfectly on track. That immigration isn't a problem. And what struck me most wasn't the sentence itself. It's that he genuinely believed it. That's the real issue. These people aren't lying to you knowingly. They're so disconnected, so deeply fed by the system that formed them, that they live in a parallel world. A world of reports, panels, summits and press releases. A world where reality is whatever the institutions say it is. Remember: captured institutions no longer describe reality. They prescribe it. And people like him live inside the prescription. They never step out of it. They never see the street, the town, the neighborhood that changed in ten years. And when they do, they already have the words ready to explain why what they're seeing isn't really there. That's what a fake world is. Not a lie told by people who know the truth. A lie believed by the very people telling it. And that's exactly why it's going to collapse. Because you can lie to people for a very long time. You can't lie to reality. Hayek explained it. The USSR proved it. The polls are confirming it. A system that can no longer see reality can no longer correct itself. And a system that can no longer correct itself has already started dying. The people in Brussels think history is on their side. They're living in the same illusion the Politburo had in 1985. The parallel world always ends the same way: the day it collides with the real one. So stop asking yourself if you're crazy for seeing what you see. You're not. You're just one of the people still living in the real world.

The fact that billionaires still want to create more wealth is apparently a mental disorder, but obsessing over taking their money despite having contributed nothing to earning it is perfectly healthy. One wants to keep producing. The other wants to keep taking. And somehow, you've convinced yourself the first one is the psychopath.
the fact that billionaires still want more money needs to be studied by the same people who study serial killers.

This was Spain last night. Europe did this to themselves. This is what socialism and communism does to society. Sexism is everywhere. Apparently. Yet I was 18 the first time I experienced sexism towards women. I was in chemistry class and there was this strange poster. “Women Can Be Chemists Too,” it said proudly, showing a woman with beakers. What a weird poster. Did people think women 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯’𝘵 be chemists? I shrugged it off and went on with my day. I literally never experienced sexism towards me again until I started posting criticisms of the left in my thirties, which exposed me to more far right people than I would ever usually meet. I 𝘥𝘪𝘥 see sexism all the time, but it was towards 𝘮𝘦𝘯. Misandry on the Left Coast is so pervasive that many of the independent bookstores prominently display the book 𝘐 𝘏𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘯. But that’s for another article. This article is about my experience with sexism growing up on the Left Coast as a woman. I forgot. I did experience 𝘰𝘯𝘦 other instance of sexism before my centrist days. From leftists themselves. Still very rare, but surprising. One time, I was at a polyamorous meetup and said something along the lines of, “I think this traditional policy is good, actually.” The anarchist man with a dreadlock mohawk said, “That’s just because you’re a woman who’s been socialized to not speak up.” Excuse me? Did he just dismiss my opinion because I was a woman? I bristled and spoke up, despite “being socialized to not speak up.” He backed down. But that was it. If you’re a man or you live in another part of the world where the patriarchy is actually still alive and well (e.g. Saudi Arabia, fundamentalist Christian communities, etc.), you might be surprised. But there are whole societies where if there is a patriarchy (which I doubt), it’s so tiny it can only be detected with giant sample sizes, and even then, it’s questionable whether it exists. To the point where a woman can live 36 years and only encounter it twice, both times from well-meaning feminists. The only time she experienced it regularly was when she spent too much time on the internet and had the typical experience of being exposed to the worst of the other side. In fact, I grew up with the opposite. I was steeped in female supremacy, sex positivity, and a rejection of all traditional roles. My mom was the head of the family. All of the authority figures in my life were women. All of my teachers except for two were women until I went to uni. And the two male teachers were by far the worst and most inept. The top students in all the STEM classes were me and three other girls. I was constantly told that I was strong and independent. I was encouraged to speak up and debate. I was told I would grow up to be a great leader. The fantasy novels I inhaled were filled with women becoming knights and saving the prince. The first Disney movies I watched were Pocahontas and Mulan, where the protagonists were badass women who saved the men from their own barbarism. The smartest, most altruistic, and most competent character in the most famous fiction of the time, Harry Potter, was Hermione Granger. Likewise with Lisa Simpson in The Simpsons. Sex positivity was everywhere. I’ve never heard somebody slut-shamed (except on the internet, with the usual nutpicking selection effect). If anything, being a monogamist who didn’t have sex until marriage would make you the weirdo people looked down on. The coolest thing was to be a polyamorist. I always felt vaguely ashamed that I liked vanilla sex. Traditional roles were alien to me. The only one of my friends’ moms who was a “stay-at-home mom” only kind of counted, because she didn’t have a job per se. She was getting her second PhD in political science. How does this square with the # MeToo movement and some on the far left claiming the patriarchy is everywhere, with misogyny around every corner? Well, there are four things: • Societies are actually very segregated, and a genuine patriarchal society can live right next to an egalitarian one and they will almost never interact. • Selective and misleading statistics • Overrepresentation of misogyny on the internet and in Hollywood • Treating sexual assault as misogyny, when it isn’t men having prejudice or hatred towards women, but rather, being sexually attracted to women. Also expanding the definition of sexual assault to include dick pics and the like. ——— 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 I haven’t experienced sexism except via nutpicking on the right. Do you know what else I’ve never seen in real life? A Trump supporter. I know hundreds of people in person and not a single one of them is a Trump supporter. Or maybe some of them are, but they’d never tell me. How can this be, when a large majority of the people I know are American, and about half of American voters have supported Trump in the last 10 years? It’s because as a society, we voluntarily segregate ourselves. I once read a memoir by a member of a fundamentalist Christian cult just 50 km away from my home in Vancouver. There, women were not allowed to work outside the home and were expected to be virgins until marriage, cook, clean, and have oodles of children. What was mind-blowing to me was that this was 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 to my home. And yet I was surrounded by child-free atheist polyamorous BDSM sex-positive tattooed dual-income progressives. I wasn’t even sure I knew any Christians in the city, let alone a fundamentalist. The reason is that if we ever even met each other, we’d bounce off right away. I remember OkCupid, a dating site, had a match percentage, and you could actually search for your lowest match. Mine was a Christian military man with a buzz cut who wanted five children and loved hunting. And sure enough, we self-sort at all levels of society. If you’re right leaning, you’re less likely to become a professor at left-leaning universities. Maybe you’ll become a teacher at a religious school. If you’re an atheist, you’re never going to teach at a religious school. If you believe in traditional gender roles, you’re probably not going to show up for a puppy play pen at a BDSM party. Likewise, somebody who roleplays a sexy puppy is much less likely to attend a fundamentalist church. ——— 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 A general pattern is to show the worst possible statistic about women and never show the ones where they’re doing better than men. Women: • Live longer than men • Report greater happiness than men • Are disproportionately represented in higher education • Are disproportionately represented in many high status careers including veterinarians, pharmacists, medical managers, genetic counselors, physiotherapists, medical scientists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, and authors • Are less likely to be victims of homicide • Get 39% shorter sentences than men for the same offense (men get 63% longer sentences) and are twice as likely to avoid prison if convicted • Are 4 times more likely to get custody of children than the man, even in cases where neither parent has any abuse or other risk factors • Die by suicide at nearly 4 times lower rates than men And yet you’d never guess this from what feminist statistics tell you. Their whole thing is to fight the instances where women are worse off. If it were about equality, they’d be fighting for women to get the same sentences as men for the same crimes. They’d be fighting for proportionate representation of men among speech-language pathologists, a field that’s 97.3% women. But if you only show the negative statistics, you are going to get a heavily skewed view of things. Not to mention, many of the statistics they do share are deeply misleading. For example, one of the most common stats they’ll share is the gender pay gap. The usual 82 cents on the dollar. But that’s not controlling for years of experience or job. If more women go into lower-paying jobs and more men go into higher-paying industries, that doesn’t mean women are getting paid less due to sexism. It could be that women prefer to prioritize happiness and family over money (a good decision if you ask me!). It could be that more women prefer to go into the caring professions because they tend to have more compassionate personalities (again - a positive quality!). It could be that men feel, rightly or wrongly, that they’ll be able to attract a better woman if they make more money, whereas women, rightly or wrongly, think that men won’t care how much money they make. Who knows. But if you control for the actual job and experience, the pay gap shrinks to 99 cents on the dollar, to the point where it really isn’t the thing to focus on when fighting for women’s rights. It might be better to fight for women’s rights in Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan or in fundamentalist communities. But most rich Western countries are doing fine, actually. ——— 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝗺 Gay men sexually assault men because they’re misandrists. See how silly this sounds? It’s the same for straight men sexually assaulting women. They don’t force women into sex because they 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 women. They’re turned on by women and want to have sex with them. And some are evil about it and will try to get it by force. Yet people will parade statistics about lifetime rape rates and the like to show that the patriarchy exists. Instead of saying that yes, there is a small minority of evil men who won’t let silly things like ethics get between them and sex. ——— 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗴𝘆𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 Every simple movie needs a villain, and the misogynist is a favorite of Hollywood, especially since the # MeToo movement. And to be fair, it’s an easy villain to hate. Here’s a list of big movies in the last 10 years that Claude compiled for me where one or more of the main villains are misogynists (I haven’t watched most of them, so please correct me if any of these are wrong): Companion, The Substance, Furiosa, Blink Twice, Barbie, Don’t Worry Darling, The Last Duel, Black Widow, Promising Young Woman, The Invisible Man. Then there’s the internet. Oh, the internet. There’s a theory that polarization isn’t caused by echo chambers. Rather, the opposite. The curse of the internet is that it exposes you to the worst of the other side, even if it’s a tiny minority. Instead of seeing average people, who are almost all moderates who don’t pay much attention to politics, you see the extremists. You see the most attention-grabbing content, which is moral outrage. That’s exactly what happened to me. I criticize the left, but not because I’m on the right. I’m an accidental moderate, which means I evaluate each policy and argument on its own merits, rather than agreeing with the left or the right. Nevertheless, a lot of right-wingers enjoy my critiques of the left, so I get a lot of them as readers. Fair enough. And most of them are pretty reasonable, or have the usual takes I 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦 with but don’t see as 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 (e.g. abortion is murder, it’s good to protect traditions, etc.). But I do get some pretty extreme views, like women shouldn’t be allowed to vote or female leaders are the source of most societal ills. I have never heard anybody express these views in person. And I probably never would have heard them if the internet didn’t exist. So both Hollywood and the internet make these views seem far more common than they are. This is good news, though. It means there are large pockets of the world where misogyny has been more or less vanquished. You can live in societies where a woman can live 36 years and only experience sexism in person twice in her life, both from well-meaning leftists.
“I once calculated that, globally, the average man kills approximately 0.00005 people per year, whereas the average woman kills approximately 0.000006. (Notice the extra zero.) That’s a huge difference. But it’s one found only among a tiny minority of people at the extreme of the aggression distribution, where the differences are much more pronounced” 🎯 Good illustration of the point I make about people fearing men “because they’re more violent”. Yes, relatively speaking. But it’s absolute rates that matter. It is vanishingly unlikely that any man you encounter on the streets will hurt you. Fearing men generically across the board is misandry and we shouldn’t encourage it. Source: A Billion Years of Sex Differences by @SteveStuWill

In the 1.300 years of Muslim-Arab slave trade, approximately a million Greek Christians were sold as slaves. Greek girls who were pretty were forced into prostitution after being enslaved to Turks who took all their earnings. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. After Chios Massacre (March 30, 1822) where the Muslim Turks slaughtered 42.000 Christian Greeks, 52.000 women and children were sold as slaves in the markets of Smyrna & Constantinople. On September 1, 1821, Samothrace was devastated by the Ottomans through a general massacre, 10.000 men & boys were slaughtered while women & children were sold also in the markets of Constantinople & Smyrna. Only those who converted to Islam survived. On July 14, 1821, 486 Greeks of Cyprus were publicly beheaded because they didn't convert to Islam. On 13-22 September 1922, thousands of women (Greeks and Armenians) were mass raped and slaughtered in Smyrna from the Islamic horde, the Young Turks, who were motivated by racial and religious hatred. Only those who converted to Islam survived. They aimed the Christians of Anatolia and tried to erase our Greek footprint. They failed. On 6-7 of September 1955, during the Constantinople pogroms, Muslim Turks committed rapes againt the Greek community of the City. Hundreds of women expelled and raped. Now there is a minotiry of less than 2.000 Greeks living in the city that their ancestors found, Constantinople. In 1974, the Muslim Turks invaded the island of Cyprus and raped in the name of their god thousands of Greek women from 12 to 71 years old. Even the Church of Cyprus had consented through its tolerance to the amendment of the legislation in 1974, so that the abortions of that period became legal. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. Male Muslims were given the right to have sex with female captives (slaves), which was phrased: "those men who guard their genitals, except with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for then there is no blame" (Quran 23:6), which granted men the right to have sex not only with their wives but also with female captive slaves. Islam is an enemy for every woman. Anyone who willingly supports the Islamic invasion against native Europeans is a traitor to his or her own kind and ancestors. Picture: This is a Greek slave captured by the Muslim Turks during the Ottoman period. The sign writes: "ΡΟΔΟΝ ΕΤΩΝ ΙΗ ΠΩΛΕΙΤΑΙ ΜΝΑΣ Ω" which means: "Rose, eighteen years old for sale, for 800 mnas". What's considered a minimal quality of life today would have been unimaginable luxury to most people throughout history. Indoor plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, modern medicine, instant communication, and access to food from around the world. Much of what ordinary people enjoy today was once unavailable even to the wealthiest. Capitalism has made yesterday's luxuries today's necessities. And somehow, this extraordinary progress is presented as evidence of failure.

"Because this can go all the way from enforcing immigration law, and shutting down corrupt visa programs right now, to gangs of young White men in balaclavas with Ar15s going door to door ten years from now."
Humans are a pack animal. This may be hard to understand if you are evangelical and think the book of genesis is literal rather than allegorical, but humans are a pack animal. What this means is that the human desire for the acceptance and support of a tribe is as fundamental as the desire for food, for air, for water, for sex, for sunlight, for love. If you tell young men that they cannot have a tribe, they're not going to accept that. Ever. Especially if you tell that only to the young men of one tribe in particular. They're going to wonder why everybody gets to have a tribe and they don't. And they're eventually going to decide that you are the enemy. Because you are. Anyone who stands between young men and what they need for a healthy, fulfilled life is their enemy. That includes you. And if you manage to convince them that god doesn't want them to have a tribe, it will also include god. The more you push back against their healthy and natural desire for a tribe, a homeland, and a birthright, the more they will hate you, and the more exclusive their definition of that tribe will become. There is no way you can stop this. The only thing you can control is how far they have to go, how radical they have to become, in order to get it. Because this can go all the way from enforcing immigration law, and shutting down corrupt visa programs right now, to gangs of young White men in balaclavas with Ar15s going door to door ten years from now. We have to do something about the 14th amendment. I don't care if that makes you uncomfortable or unhappy. It's not a choice. The constitution exists to serve Americans, not the other way around. If that sentence confuses you, read the first paragraph of the constitution. If we do not, young men of the future, the same little boys who are being radicalized right now by your malicious indifference, will treat a piece of paper that says they cannot have a homeland the way they would treat a piece of paper that says that can't eat food, or a piece of paper that says they can't own a home, or have a wife and children. You may think that you offer them a tribe in the form of the universal kingdom of god, the community of all believers, but that's just a word game and you know it, which is why you are so defensive about the whole thing. Where was the universal community of believers when these young men needed help? When they needed not just the surface appearance of a tribe, but someone to do the things that tribes actually do for younger generations they care about? The pack serves a concrete set of functions in the life cycle of the human species, and you cannot perform those functions with a cardboard cutout. Young men are sick of religion that offers them responsibilities with no rights, lectures with no help, demands with no love or empathy. It's odd, in a way ironic, that, I, the man of zero faith, should have to be the one standing here telling self-styled religious leaders how they failed both their people and their god. But having no faith does give me one advantage. It frees me from the delusion that Jesus is a puppet that I can pull out of my pocket, slip over my right hand, move his mouth and make him say what I want. I used to wonder, as a child, what the phrase "taking the name of the lord in vain" actually meant. But I no longer wonder, because when I became a man, I looked around me and saw all these people who talk to god and somehow get told exactly what they want to hear. Then I understood that the key phrase here wasn't "in vain". It was "taking". Taking the name of god and using it as a tool for one's own goals. Joel, here, is sad that his friend is getting sent home. This personally inconveniences both him and his friend, which effects Joel in a way that young men being denied their birthright does not. So he finds an interpretation of scripture that says that god wants him, Joel Berry, to get his way, and that god wants all the young men who want a homeland and a birthright to go get fucked. I'm not terribly impressed.

Capitalism didn't create your need to work to survive. Nature did. An employer doesn't impose that necessity upon you. He offers you an opportunity to satisfy it through voluntary exchange. Socialism doesn't eliminate the necessity of work. It merely transfers authority over production to politicians or the collective. Under capitalism, you're free to change employers, negotiate wages, work for yourself, or establish a cooperative. None guarantees success, but the freedom exists. And here's where your moral superiority becomes particularly ridiculous. You condemn people for offering employment on terms others are free to reject, yet consider yourself morally entitled to dictate how they must use their property, run their businesses, and compensate others. You call voluntary agreements exploitation while presenting coercion as compassion. Your objection isn't that people are being forced to serve others. It's that they aren't being forced to serve others on your terms. And somehow, you've convinced yourself that makes you the moral one.
After reading the replies to my original post, I've learned that some libertarians have a much bigger problem than their understanding of economics. Their complete lack of empathy is fucking astonishing. I suggested that paying half your income in rent because the alternative is sleeping in a freezing car isn't exactly a wonderful example of economic freedom. The responses were an extraordinary collection of lectures about voluntary exchange, personal responsibility, property rights, and why homelessness is apparently just another consumer preference. Here are the five most common arguments. 1. It's voluntary because nobody is forcing you. Apparently, choosing between unaffordable rent and sleeping in your car is the expression of liberty. Sure, nobody is holding a gun to your head. But someone with $500 in the bank doesn't have the same bargaining power as someone with $10 million in property. A decision made under financial desperation is still a decision. That doesn't mean the person has meaningful economic freedom. If your definition of liberty includes celebrating someone's choice to freeze in their car, perhaps your philosophy needs some fucking work. 2. Just move, get roommates, buy a house, or sleep in your car. This was my favorite. One person suggested getting a gym membership so you could sleep in your car and still shower. Others recommended second jobs, roommates, or simply buying a house. Fucking brilliant. But what happens when millions of households simultaneously move somewhere cheaper? Demand increases, and those locations become less affordable unless housing supply expands. What works for one individual doesn't necessarily work for everyone. It's called the fallacy of composition. An entire housing crisis cannot be solved by giving millions of people individual financial advice. Yet apparently, sleeping in a Toyota Corolla now constitutes a comprehensive economic policy. 3. Government regulations and central banks caused expensive housing. This was actually a reasonable argument, at least initially. Restrictive zoning and excessive development regulations absolutely can contribute to expensive housing. But blaming government for every undesirable market outcome is just ideological laziness. Housing prices also depend on incomes, credit conditions, construction costs, land values, population growth, speculation, and investment expectations. Developers build when they expect sufficient profits, not simply because people need somewhere to live. Removing bad regulations can improve housing supply. It doesn't magically eliminate every other economic problem. An economy is an interconnected system, not a fucking supply-and-demand diagram. 4. The landlord provides a mutually beneficial service. Several people argued that rental transactions must benefit both parties because otherwise they wouldn't happen. Yes, someone facing homelessness might prefer paying half their income in rent to sleeping outside. Congratulations. You've established that people prefer shelter to freezing. But that doesn't prove the housing market is competitive, affordable, or producing desirable outcomes. People routinely accept terrible arrangements because their alternatives are worse. Individual rationality doesn't guarantee desirable outcomes for society. The existence of a transaction isn't proof that the economic system is working particularly well. 5. You aren't entitled to someone else's property or labor. And naturally, someone had to start screaming about communism. Apparently, suggesting that people shouldn't have to sleep in freezing cars is now revolutionary Marxism. I support private property, competitive markets, and private enterprise. But supporting capitalism doesn't require celebrating every outcome it produces. Property rights don't automatically guarantee affordable housing, economic efficiency, or an equitable distribution of resources. You can defend private property without treating human suffering as an acceptable demonstration of economic liberty. Now, here's what genuinely disturbed me. I expected arguments about economics. What I didn't expect was how enthusiastically some people recommended homelessness. Sleep in your car. Get a gym membership. Work three jobs. Move away. Stop complaining. These weren't hypothetical responses. People actually suggested these things. Imagine seeing someone struggling to afford shelter and immediately explaining why they should be grateful to their landlord. What kind of fucking worldview produces that reaction? Markets are supposed to serve human beings. Human beings aren't supposed to suffer simply to validate someone's economic philosophy. I'm a supporter of free markets, but I don't believe that requires abandoning basic human empathy. The irony is that people who constantly preach individual liberty seem perfectly comfortable dismissing the economic circumstances that restrict it. If your response to someone facing homelessness is to congratulate them on having the freedom to sleep in their fucking car, perhaps you've spent too much time defending capitalism and not enough time interacting with actual human beings.

Då kunde man iallafall fly.
