What do you listen to in the car, when it’s not bickering kids?

You'll hear that playful approach across "No Help Coming". "We know the world’s messed up," says Brendan McLeod from the @fugitivesmusic. "What’s missing are more invitations to get real about making changes. And to do that, we have to get less precious about the subject."

As they approached the songs, @fugitivesmusic used their learnings from the hours of research they had spent on their JUNO nominated release "Trench Songs". On that record they reinterpreted WWI soldiers poems to music and discovered they were as humorous as they were harrowing.

"Humanity's alone in this," says adrian glynn of The Fugitives, about the climate crisis we face. "But we're alone in this together; 'No Help Coming', to us, isn't a negative." No Help Coming is also the title of their latest studio album - released today.

#naturebreak Why are we called Fallen Tree? Inspired by the life that feeds and grows from a fallen tree, we felt the metaphor matched music. Once a song is released it provides nourishment and life to those who hear it, interpreting it in their own personal ways #hopeinnature
