The elephant in the room that the mainstream media are failing to discuss is that Liverpool’s £500m attack failed to get a shot on target at Anfield against an #Arsenal defence without Saliba, with Timber on his first 90 since March and Calafiori who was a major doubt coming into the game. Awkward.

As I wrote in my full review of Le Samouraï (🌟🌟🌟🌟), Jeff Costello is one of my all time favorite film characters. For a few days after seeing this, I really couldn’t put my finger on the reason why. Costello has very little dialogue throughout the film & we really don’t know much about his backstory. But we can sense in his body language, how he carries himself, and his unflinchingly powerful eye contact that Costello is 1) a total professional and 2) unmoved my danger- which appears to be his fatal flaw, as all noir protagonists come with a fatal flaw.

🚨 Merino “First of all good evening everyone. With your permission I would like to take this chance to send my condolences to Jesus de Miguel, his family, his team mates and everyone around him. Today is a very sad day for everyone, I wanted to send my love and care”
Really had no plans to see #Wicker, but today's screening fit in perfectly with my Election Day afternoon off, and it turns out to be a real charmer. Wickedly funny, and a perfect fit for thoroughly underrated comedienne #OliviaColman. Go see it in a theater while you still can.

Weapons, like so many horror films that came before it, didn’t receive the recognition it deserved from @TheAcademy last year. Yes, Amy Madigan’s win for Best Supporting Actress is a good start but it’s just that…a start. This film had a Best Picture nomination with its name on it. The Academy needs to stop ignoring horror. This is especially true as we approach the 2027 Oscars, amid an unreal year for horror.

📅 9 years of Lady Bird
A beautiful reminder that growing up means learning to appreciate the things you once desperately wanted to escape.

Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Jack Nicholson owned the ‘70s. There were others who had a heavy hand in this decade, please don’t get me wrong, but The Big 3 owned this decade. Consider the hits Al, Bob & Jack made in a ten year span. The list is endless. It’s jaw-dropping. It features films like The Godfather, Chinatown & of course, Dog Day Afternoon. I’d give anything to be 28 years old in 1976.

Don’t mind me. I’m just out here on an island talking to myself about how unbelievable it is that we are getting a new David Fincher film, written by Quentin Tarantino, in a few weeks. Folks, if this movie turns out to be bad, I’m going to be 1) extremely let down 2) extremely wrong. I’ve been counting on this film’s success for months. Fincher, please don’t let me down.
Hadn’t watched Trainspotting for a few years, but man is that a masterpiece that just gets better with age. The only Danny Boyle movie I’ll rank above it is Shallow Grave, both amazing.

🚨 William Saliba has returned to first team training. Im told Saliba has absolutely smashed his recovery milestones but Arsenal will be very cautious regarding his availability for selection. Great news.
